The door speakers in my 2020 Toyota Rav4 leave a lot to be desired. Let's install a set of JBL Club 6520 6 1/2" door speakers and see if it makes a difference. Let's get started!

Hi there! First of all, thank you for sharing this video and parts list. The camera work was first rate and you really made it easy to follow. What size drill-bit did you use to drill the rivets from the stock speakers? 👍up!

Thanks for the kind words! I don’t remember exactly what size it was the same size as the hole in the speaker. Probably a little bigger than an 1/8 inch bit.

No issues with these being 3ohms vs the stocks that are 4? Also did you check the polarity, keep seeing this as a potential issue with the wiring harnesses.

I didn’t test the polarity, although it’s pretty easy to tell by the sound when you’re out of phase. Sounds perfect to me! No issues with the ohm difference. Just makes them a little louder.

Crutchfield told me that JBL have conducted extensive research on their 3ohm speakers and they work fine with a minimum 4 ohm-rated head unit - Crutchfield said that they get asked about this all of the time.

Did you add an amp as well? Would you recommend this upgrade with stock head unit and no aftermarket amp? Thanks for the upload brotha! Got a like a sub from me!

I did not install an amp. They were loud enough for me. Yes I would recommend these and the dash speakers even e with the stock head unit. They are a huge improvement!
