New CV Axle Shaft from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1AAC...
A CV axle has flexible joints. Often, these joints wear out, or seize from contaminants due to the protective boot tearing open. A worn joint is prone to breakage, or other hazards. If your vehicle needs a new CV axle, install a quality TRQ axle that is engineered to your vehicle’s specifications. This video shows you how to install one in your 2007-2011 Toyota Camry.

btw if you ever plan on replacing suspension components after this DO NOT USE RED threadlock USE BLUE its the same thing just not as strong and youll actually be able to get it out with handtools, red threadlock is semi permanent and not fun

Preciate the video. First time changing an axle and didn’t want to mess anything up but couldn’t figure out how to get the axle in all the way. Did your little rubber mallet truck and got the job done. Thanks again

To pull the axle - Hang the axle more or less horizontally by tightening a rope around the outer end of the axle and securing it to the spring. Wrap another rope around the inner axle case (between the inner axle case and the gearbox), creating a simple self-tightening loop. Extend the other end of the rope outward along the axle and attach a regular hammer to it. Make a couple of hits in the outward direction along the axle. The hammer's momentum applied along the rope (along the axle) will pull the axle from the gearbox easily. I just tried it, and it works well. It's better to use a non-scratching rope, such as Dyneema.

No need to remove tie rod? Or the upper mounting bolts? I like it..seems like leaving the tie rod alone that the hub will use it as a swivel. This really isn't a hard one but I used to hate all the stuff to take apart to get to it, I'm doing a mitsubishi mirage hopefully this method will work without me having to take the whole hub off

I am doing this on my car while watching this video. My only concern is that transmission fluid came out but when I saw you take yours out nothing came out?? Should I top it off with more transmission fluid to make up for the loss?

Probably better than removing thr huge strut bolts and pulling the axle out from above. Both ways work, this is probably better.

Good job,but should have tell the viewers that they must you calibrate(relearn) the gear after replacing the drive shaft, I think the gear is called 13pin as we call it Nigeria and uses WS fluid, anybody watching this needs to be careful, so as not to damage the gear.

You replace both sides at the same time to do the job correctly.

Toyota axles have a machined groove for your tool to drive it in and out. Never hit the CV joint like he did.

Whoever edited this should be slapped. As a mechanic you like to know about the tough crap. You guys are really cutting out the complicated tight spaces and leaving in the whole 25 second process of removing lugs from the wheel🤦🏻‍♂️

Thanks for the video. That being said... no disrespect, but you SERIOUSLY need to google proper torqe wrench technique. You did OK on the lug nuts at the end, but EVERY other torque point was done incorrectly. Specifically. you should always hold the head of the wrench in place with one hand and torque from as close to the middle of the grip as possible wth the other (any other way gives you incorrect torque readings). Unfortunately you had one hand in the MIDDLE of the wrench which is BAAAAD and I think your other hand was on the grip which is OK. Where you position your hands effects the reading. Seriously, how those were torqued was SUPER bad and incorrect (bad torque levels).
