Bad, bad, bad, never use a hammer to "tap" the pad in...good way to have the pads get stuck and lock your brakes up. Also, C-clamp is fine, but put an old brake pad over the caliper piston. If you don't, you can "tilt" the piston and lock it up. Then, you will either have to rebuild or replace the caliper. Thirdly, make sure that when compressing the piston, the cap is removed on the brake fluid reservoir, and don't pinch the piston boot when compressing it. Otherwise, good video and decent products and a decent price.

Never put Clamp directly on piston & seal. Use old pad that way it pushes evenly & doesn't damage caliper

@HighLeagueGaming

Take off your cap for your brake fluid and when your done with that go to the brake caliper and use a flat head screwdriver and push the piston back slowly

you almost got this right. you installed the pads incorrectly. both sides should have the inner and outer pad with the squeel pin on top, with the spring on the hardware pushed through the pin. just sayin.

Why do you take the hub cap off?
@krwilliams3876
@krwilliams3876 7 лет назад
That's likely because the lug nuts that these cars use hold the hub caps in place. I just found this out when I had new tires put on my old 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5-litre. Not all cars have their hub caps held in like that, though. A total case-by-case thing.
