ALTHOUGH A 1/2 INCH SOCKET WILL WORK ON THE CALIPER BOLTS; THEY ARE REALLY 13MM ... EVERY BOLT OR NUT ON CARS HAVE BEEN METRIC SINCE 1976 .. 1A AUTO MAKES THE ABSOLUTE BEST DIY VIDEOS ON THE PLANET ....

In about 1969, a friend let me drive his early 60s (I swear a Pontiac Bonneville because the appearance is similar) car--no power steering. When I made a turn there was a noise from the steering like a "boiiiinnng"---like there was a large spring in there soemwhere. I never forgot that. I knew little about cars then, but I remember that moment.

Thanks for the video, really helpful. I have an '86 town car, and I couldn't get the metal piece that holds the brake pads off, after I took of the bolts. No matter how much I wiggled, and pulled it just wouldn't come off. I ended up putting it back together without changing the brakes. I'll try again tomorrow I guess :(

Just did the brakes on my Town Car with your front brake rotor and pad kit. Worked great but it seems every time I do brakes, I need to file or grind the pad ears a little to make them fit back in. Is this normal?

I dunno if anyone will know but I got a 2002 lincon town car and I like to buy my own parts to give to my mechanic. Are there drums in the back? Or is it rotors and break pads? I just bought the car so it's why I ask I like buying parts ahead of time.

Got a 1998 Lincoln TC trying to order the upper control arm assy (comes with Bushings and the ball Joint already installed) but there is two different options, with or without handling package. Does anyone know the difference or how to tell which one a person might have. Thanks

I loose faith QUICKLY in a mechanic that doesn't use the proper sized tools. It's NOT a 1/2", it's a 13mm. And it's NOT a 13/16", it's a 19mm. If your gonna make an instructional video, you should do it right.
