Great video..No matter what I do the Torx screw is not locking into the lock cyclinder assembly. You see to do it easily at 7:06 . I had to remove the door handles also to replace a front door actuator and I followed your video for that which was very helpful. Even I had an issue removing the yellow prong and had to remove the door handles and assembly inside My problem is getting the lock cyclinder assembly back in its place. The hole on lock cylinder doesn't seem to match the screw :-(

Really well explained. Major question from me: Is this similar for a 1998 Corolla? Thanks.

Thank you for the video. I have a 2015 Toyota Corolla and I’m replacing the drivers door. I was wonder if you have any knowledge about the key fob? Is reprogramming all I need to unlock my door?

Thanks for this video! I have a 2003 RAV4 (which is not a whole lot different from the vehicle in your video), and I am having a very hard time trying to secure the passenger side lock cylinder in place, after having removed it to fix the door lock actuator. I had trouble doing this for the driver side door as well, about two weeks back (spent many, many hours on just this one task). Today again I spent numerous back-breaking hours trying (unsuccessfully) to bolt the lock cylinder in place. For some reason, I cannot seem to get the securing bolt for the cylinder to line up easily and correctly with the screw hole, so that I could tighten the lock cylinder in place, as you demonstrated in your video at 7:06. Do you have any tips, tricks, or helpful hints to share, to allow me to succeed in this task? It's causing me to tear my hair out in despair and frustration. I seem to be missing the screw hole by a few millimetres, since I can see the marks the bolt is leaving on the body of the cylinder, a little to the left of the screw hole. It almost seems as though the round hole in the door chassis is either not large enough, or not at the correct angle in order to line up the bolt with the screw hole in the cylinder. Thanks.

seriously! You didn't show swapping the old lock assembly into with the new lock assembly.

Another question I wanted to ask, do I need to unplug my battery when uninstalling my old door and installing a new one?

Would this be similar to a 2009 toyota sienna?

+Daniel Karl We don't have a how-to video for your vehicle right now, but the basic steps in this video should be enough to do this task. Buy this part for your vehicle on 1AAuto.com: 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
