New Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1ASB...
Car and truck suspensions combine a number of moving parts for safe and stable handling. The ball joint is the crucial moving component that ties those parts together. The ball-in-socket joint can wear out and loosen over time. Or, the rubber protective boot can tear, allowing contaminants to seize the joint. Bad ball joints are a common failure point on vehicle inspections because they lead to unsafe driving conditions. Fortunately, they are relatively easy to replace with the right know-how. This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ ball joints on your 2001-2007 Toyota Highlander.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2001 Toyota Highlander
2002 Toyota Highlander
2003 Toyota Highlander
2004 Toyota Highlander
2005 Toyota Highlander
2006 Toyota Highlander
2007 Toyota Highlander

I’ve never seen a 1AAuto/ TRQ video that was so bad before. There was no reason to take the axel out unless the ball joint stud nut wouldn’t come off. Never use an impact to tighten the ball joint stud or axel nut and always use a new axel nut and clean up the threads and degrease the axel before you reinstall into the hub. Also, the wheel bearing was bad. Could tell because that thin metal shroud inside the knuckle had walked out a bit.

How did you flatten the ball joint when installing it? My new ball joint isn’t like that
