New Shock Absorber Set from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ASS...
Shock absorbers help your vehicle stay stable and safe. Signs of worn out shocks are knocking or bumping noises, loose handling, or a bouncy or bumpy ride. The typical service life of a shock absorber is 50,000 miles, depending on conditions. TRQ shocks and struts are engineered to fit your vehicle perfectly. This video shows you how to install shock absorbers on your 1999-2007 Chevy Silverado.

And if you live in and around the rust belt always a good idea to put anti-seize on the lower shock bolt as well as your wheel studs

I just replaced the front shocks on my Silverado 1500 4x4 but it has a 2” leveling kit on the front. I had to put the truck on the ground with wheels on to get the shock bolt far enough through the top. Am I going to rip these shocks apart when the truck goes over big bumps? They don’t seem long enough.

Great concise video. What make/model of locking pliers are those? I'm having trouble finding ones that can fit in there.

That must be a 4x4 version because on my 05 Silverado reg 2wd the design on the bottom uses 2 much smaller bolts that are put in vertically. Torqued to 18ft lbs I later found out. I should of rewatched the vid the same day before breaking the bolts☹️

My 06 crew 4x4 has just the shock. I think it may have to do with the torsion suspension.

@@cotyleavitt4317 mine is a 2wd also and I think it's pretty much the same just unscrew the 2 nuts on the bottom and the shock still comes out the bottom only difference is you have less room to work with most of these guys have 4wd trucks the rest of us lil guys have 2wd loll
