Good video ! I’m thinking a Milwaukee 3/8” drive M-12 ratchet and a deep socket with a 3” extension would be killer in this location. Wire brush threads clean & a little wd-40 before attempting to undo nuts of course would also make life easier.
I got an ice o matic (ICE0400FA5), water pump works, and water flows through ice tray, but the condenser fan not spinning and compressor not hot to the touch. On your video is that what i need to fix ?
Depends on the model Iceomatic fan will be wired up thru high pressure cycling switch. If cycling with bad or pressure is not high enough motor will stay off.
look at your water level. If I remember right harvest initiates by water level switch - check water level switch or if its loosing water during the cycle
Once Low pressure control activated harvest, so hot gas valve opens up our Evaporator plate becoming warm and harvest assist should start helping to push Ice out. Once Ice out and curtain microswitch in close position and at the same time harvest assist motor back to initial position it starts another freeze cycle. If I remember right that's the logic on that
Found ur videos on ice o matic machines....I'm new to the trade and I came across a unit with low production....I did cleaned the unit and got a better water flow.. but unit never went into harvest can u help a new tech and do a video on probable cause why it did not go into harvest.......thanks
High head pressure might cause it. Iceomatic shoes to harvest by low side pressure (aroun 23-30psi) dirty coil migh cause it. If it goes to harvest and pops right out - possible that ur harvest assist motor assy bad(switches on it)
hello we have a similar machine. Not great with the parts but the stick thingy that pushes out the ice doesn't go back to initial spot. What would be the cause of that? From this video it seems at the end when you ran it, it rotated the stick thingy into first position. Please let me know.
Marat RPM SoCal thank you for replying quickly. sorry, what is an assy? like when it rotates the stick that pushes out the ice perfectly but doesn't go back to it initial position. and then we pushed the stick manually with a pen and it also had made ice perfectly. the problem is the stick doesn't go back automatically as it should. do you think this can be a circuit (wiring), motor or another issue maybe the way it was assembled? please let me know
Just get the whole assembled piece. It sound that something mechanically bad with it. To save Your time order the whole piece, it comes with push rod, motor and microswitches. plug and play.
Hiii sir creating of the day I need one small help my Scotsman MV 1006 ice machine working but the problem is once finish the cycle when ice falling down machine will be goes off and after 3 minutes automatically coming on, the same time display light blinking Bin full, I replaced bin sensor but problem remaining same please give me any advice how can I fix this problem
I adjusted ice size but still same problem, I tried to fix this problem but I have little doubt about harvest assist, harvest assist is not moving when the harvest time, it should move or not ??
You need to check if switch opens up when your bin is full. If you have magnetic switch on curtain - you better replace both pieces - magnet and switch itself and make sure magnet aligns with switch. Other then that your control board acting weird.
@@MaratRPMSoCal good morning I replaced magnetic switch but still same problem once cycle done hot gas line will open when ice dropping down the machine will goes off ( the same time display bin full light starting to blinking ) after 3 minutes automatically ice machine coming on,
I think magnetic switches not a problem, why you know when the cycle working time I move the Curtain same time bin blinking started that manes magnetic working fine right,
@@mycrickets6584 If it takes long to harvest ice, that will trigger "bin full". Doesn't look like over the RU-vid I can help you. Ill need to look thru the whole cycle what it does. Callcompany who can troubleshoot it for you properly. Your curtain stays open for too long in harvest cycle - not sure if you noticed it while watching the cycle. Why it stays open for long that's something you need to figure out: machine unleveled, hard deposits on the plate, separation of the grid, too thin or thick ice, etc. ? there are many cause for it, if you are not familiar with ice machines it will be hard to explain.
It should not. Check if these microswitches on it are good, if so, replace assembled piece. You don't want to look bad in front of Your customer by fix it for one day.
