9 years later and still helping out a ton. I'm about to replace a bulb in my '96 Civic at a friends' since I don't have a lift, so I'm studying the process (not a lot lot study anyway), so thank you

Glad I watched this video before I broke something. I was pulling and twisting with the boot and harness still on the bulb trying to get it out, not used to it thankyou!

Great Video, It was my first time changing light bulbs. One of my headlights went out on my 1999 Honda Civic so I just replaced both headlights and this helped a lot! Same process as shown, with no issues on my end. Thanks

Hey Don....just wanted to let you and everyone know that I ordered a pair of these assemblies...Just got them install on my fiancees 97 Civic...they went in PERFECT...and ordering from you guys was GREAT (dealt with Arnold and Louis..make sure to tell them thanks...and that Harry from the Ron Ananian the car doctor radio show said thanks!)....and for everyone else out there...1A had these lenses for 76 a pair SHIPPED!....everyone else including Autozone had them for 105 EACH....They came UPS, were here in 2 days in perfect shape and were shipped same day..EXCELLENT service!...they even came with the rubber booties that cover the bulbs....I'm a customer!

Thank you. It was hell but I couldn't have done it without your guidance. BTW, the screw in the wheel well was an 8mm and only accessible if the wheel was turned sharply. I hate that screw.

The old headlights weren't that bad. Just a little oxidation. They only needed a headlight restoration cleaning. But for the sake of the video, good job.

Great lecture! the problem with old card like mine 1997 is unexpected problem like rusty screw which I didn't know how to handle it. So my mechanic did it for me which I think I could do a better job than him if I have the muscle and the tools !

Definitely buy new clips beforehand. Old clips do not come out easily like that and you're guaranteed to break some.

I just tried doing this by myself. Two of the black things that pop out broke and I had to pry the rest out. The screws behind the bumper are stubborn. I have one 10 mm screw I can't get out on the driver's side and the Phillips head screw on the passenger's side. Maybe I just have cheap tools or it would have gone smoother with power tools. I got a friend who can help me out.

It would have been more helpful for those only wanting to replace the bulbs, and not the whole headlamp assembly, to show how to replace the bulb with the headlamp attached to the car. Then, you could have gone on to say here's how to replace the headlamp assembly if needed. Undoubtedly, there will be people watching this video who will think they need to remove the whole headlamp assembly in order to change the bulbs. Seriously!

True! I am grateful for this video, it did help me a lot, but what Freelancer has written is true. No need to remove the bumper or even the headlight! Plus, the mechanic does not show the reattachment of the bulb prongs through the rubber gasket to the connecting socket--that was the hardest part for me. I did not apprehend that it was not necessary for the whole outlet to pass through the little hole in the gasket! (Should have been more observant when I took out the old bulb!)

You can just open the hood and look behind the headlights and you can see the bulb except for the turn signal lights you can put your hand in from the mud flap
