You could use it for both. You may be able to reach the bulb from behind the main beam without removing it if there's enough room.

The 2003 may be a similar process, there could be a few things that may be different in the way they attach to the vehicle.

Thank you for the video. I would make a suggestion to unplug the wiring harness from the back of the bulb before releasing the retaining clip and removing the bulb. This may help avoid the tangling of the wires with the clip tongs. Same thing goes for the reinstalling of the bulb. Place the bulb, attach the clip and then plug in the harness and tuck wires safely around the clip.

It was almost as easy as you demonstrated to change the bulb. BUT everything must have overheated in the past as the insulation on the wires crumbled upon touch. Even the connector was falling apart. For anyone attempting this, it may turn out to be a bigger job than you expect. In my case, I taped over the wires to insure they are insulated, but the next time this bulb goes, the whole assembly will need to be replaced.

now is this to replace the main head light or the brights? my passenger side main head light went out and when my driver side went out, my dad took out the bright by accident. the big dust cover is the main light?

Hi I have one question, if I replace the complete headlight, do I always need to adjust the light direction or the will be in the same direction the old wants were?

HI, Yes you would need to adjust the main beam light. There will be an adjusting screw on the back of the headlight. You should have the vehicle parked about 25' from a wall. What you can do is before you make the repair is mark on the wall where your beams are currently at, replace the lights and them adjust the beams up to your mark on the wall. If you just need to replace one headlight, you can adjust that one beam up to the point where it's even with the old one. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

H4 bulb? This gotta be the one with front fog lights, since it's located in headlight. I have the EU version 2000 year built B5, same color. Instead of H4, it's H1 high beam and next to it are H7 low beam and W5W side light bulb. I don't have front fog lights.

This video is great except I wish it also stated what kind of headlights are needed (they look like H7s?) and also a caution to not touch the bulbs. The demonstrator is careful about this in his actions. But he should emphasize in the narration, for people new to changing headlights, do not let your fingers touch the glass part of the bulb!
