Thank you guys for this video. I have previously replaced both headlights but a few months ago I hit a deer and it busted the drivers side headlight assembly. Your video helped me make quick work of the project.
Don't those fender wells just snap off, after you remove the plastic pop out pins around the bottom of the fender? Would make it easier to get to the last bolt, by the blinker/marker light. The right tools might help also.
The younger guy isn't teaching how to do anything but pull the pieces apart and break the clips older guy is being more gentle if you pull on the pieces like this young guy did you're going to end up on eBay Amazon or at your local parts store purchasing six clips to hold your bumper on or it's going to be flapping like mine is because the mechanics that I take my Jeep to every single time they act like this young guy and I come back with my fender flares with a 1-in space between my bumper and the fender flares where my clips won't hold anymore or are completely broken. It would have helped if y'all hadn't got half of this apart and done it step by step for the camera but at least by the time you got on the camera actually crawling on the ground and pinching them with your fingers or some needle nose pliers would have had them right out of there instead of having this young guy decide when he finally wanted to lay down on the ground and look up under the Jeep and pinch them the correct way to release them instead of continuing just to pull on the fender flares over and over the third one at the top on the driver side either wasn't connected or he completely broke it. We should have had where the 10 mm bolts were and what size they were pointed out before he got on the ground outside of the camera. Older guy I just had taking loose all clips on the left hand passenger side if you release some of them slip back in the hole then you got the younger guy coming over there pulling and pulling again instead of just laying down on the ground like he had to do the first time on the driver side pinching them with his fingers or having some needle nose pliers on hand would have helped and had y'all done with all three clips in a matter of less than a minute.
I have a forked clip remover tool it works for a lot of cars... my Nissan frontier my 87 Cutlass 442 and a lot of other cars. that forked clip removal tool will do nothing but break everything on this Jeep. The only place it'll work is on the interior trim believe me I know what every clip looks like on this vehicle and there are about 5 to 6 different kinds. you have to pop the top of the clip out first and then the bottom part of the clip releases and as far as these clips on the bumper they do not release that way you have to pinch both sides of them and push them through the hole. They make a clip removal pliers for Chrysler vehicles but that only works around the fender well and other parts of the car for this bumper that would not work you have to go on the inside of the bumper and pinch it with your fingers really hard a pair of pliers or a pair of needle nose pliers and that's the only way to release both sides that are fade out inside of the hole to make them pass through the hole and come apart. Make sure that when you're giving people advice you know what you talking about and what the clip looks like first and how it releases before you send somebody to the store for a $6.99-10.99 part that's going to do nothing but break everything just as bad as pulling it apart with both hands. That may have worked from 1950 to 1999 but these clips are very different
That would have only worked for the two white clips on top the rest of them on the inside of the fender flares work completely differently and this tool would have broken them a simple pair of needle nose pliers would have worked for both
