@@ideasfromed I have been looking for lcds online but there are too many I don’t really know which one fits. They have too many different kinds it’s hard to tell which one is the right one
Funny story there. The eBay-er sent a damaged item that was supposed to be NIB. The adhesive gasket was missing and one of the chips was bent out of position and 1 part missing. Told them about it and sent them pictures; they gave me grief but took it back. Then they deducted $70 from the return citing the damage I sent THEM pictures of. Fortunately eBay made it right. In frustration I just bought the screen and shell unit and put it on. Still, I learned a lot from the video.
Hello, I am hoping you can help me, I'm wondering, what is the name of the little boards to either side of the webcam? I accidentally pulled the connector right off the board, and I'd rather not try to solder it. If you can help me find out, I'll be very appreciative. Thank you!
Thank you! Very helpful! Any idea why the screen will not rotate to the right side? I've taken it to 2 places already and neither one could fix. The screen was replaced, but the rotation is locked. Even when I slide it to allow locking and unlocking, it won't. Thank you in advance.
CRACKED glass digitizer @ 10:58 lower left corner ...third party parts are poor quality so take extreme care ...learned my lesson the hard way on this particular device
What is the small chip that is transferred at 2:58? I was following your video and broke the chip on the right hand side of the camera. The computer seems to work 100% fine without it. I've tested the touch, camera, and microphone. All work. Do I need that piece? I haven't sealed the screen on yet, as I want to know what I broke first!
