Installing the strut to LCA bolts from bottom up causes it to hit the axle.

You made that look so easy and also you didn’t take all the other stuff apart. Good job sir, well done! HOWEVER!! I can’t seem to get mine in I have the spacer on top of the strut and the bottom spacer would absolutely not go in. The angle was too extreme. I noticed the strut didn’t go back in the way it come out…the bolts were lined up different so it was spun around. The sticker on the strut that was facing out is now on the back….anyone got any advice…I really would like to get that last piece placed in. Thank you all so much for reading my comment and thank you in advance if you reply.

been watching a few videos on leveling for my 2011 sierra 1500. dont want to cause problems or suspension geometry, but I am putting an aftermarket bumper and grille guard on and I am almost willing to bet it is going to weigh the front end down and make it look more nose heavy than it does coming from the factory. are there any dis/advantages to leveling the way you did it compared to that puck that goes on top of the spring coil instead? your way seemed a lot easier and significantly less disassembling.

So are these better than the cups that mount on the top or is this the same or easier

I tried doing this with my 09 and I can't get the spacer in because it hits the axle, not sure what I'm doing wrong. It does have a 2" spacer on top of the strut....

So there’s no need to loosen the upper control arm??? I’ve seen a couple of videos that say to do so that’s why I’m asking??
@jesusantoniovasquezmatias75
By chance the truck does not lose stability in high speed with that leveling kit?

Can you also put spacers on top of the struts if you put these on?

The guy who installed mine only used two washerd total. One under block. Between block amd cntrl arm??? He didnt put one on top before nut nor did he put one on bolt before inserting

You’re awfully close to scraping an axle on the inboard bolt with this kit. Looks like it’s a one size lots all kit. I’d cut off 1/2” off that bolt first so it doesn’t. Plus you skip at 4:47 to the long bolt/ washer bushings exactly doing what? I mean thanks for making another video for us shlubs, but come on guys - I’m not even a mechanic and I can see problems with this kit

+carlos orozco Yes, an alignment would be needed after installation.

But 1 question. Do you really need to unbolt the sway bar link? If yes, do I need a front-end alignment?
@PopAdoYa
@PopAdoYa Год назад
I do not know if you need to unbolt it or not but you will not to to get an alignment if you do because it has nothing to do with steering
@TuckerBeattie
@TuckerBeattie Год назад
If your truck didint have a level kit before then yes it needs an alignment. If you are just replacing your level kit then no you don’t need an alignment. Sway bar link has nothing to do with alignment, you could likely even drive completely fine without one altogether (not recommended just theoretically).

Bolts hit axle. CV shaft will have to be moved out of the way so you can run the bolts down. Thanks for nothing TRQ.
