Great video! Don't forget people to finger tight bolts lets silicone dry 24hrs then torque otherwise you'll get a leak.

What happens to all that silicon that oozes into the pan. It's definitely oozing outside of it

If you allow it to dry it goes hard

Don't tight the 14 bolts too much. Better wait for half day to dry and torque it all up to specs so the silicone will all dry inside and out. That is what i will do so i won't do it again

Its definitely ozzing inside and with how much he used prolly getting into and possibly clogging the pickup tube. There isnt any reason to use that much of the stuff! Take it and make a nice even smooth coating with ur finger even and wipe off all the extra. A little goes a long ways and alot goes a lot quicker in terms of causing issues

@@Dubsspeed for most applications doesn’t Toyota specify a 1.2mm bead which would be about 1/4 or less of what was used. My question is should you use rtv if using a rubber oil pan gasket?

Also make sure dipstick is removed otherwise it may break off

That's one THICK line of silicone! How'd that work out for you? Did it come back for a leak where you left a space laying the silicone or was all that extra goop enough to get that spot too? Man, I've watched many of your videos and normally enjoy your work. I'd be ashamed of this one though :(
