HOW TO REPLACE PCV VALVE TOYOTA SIENNA (1999-2003) 

PLEASE READ BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS JOB!!! If your PCV valve is particularly old, like mine was, then there is a chance that it can break apart during removal, and stay lodged in your engine. If this happens to you, you might have to take the whole valve cover off to get the rest of it out, like I had to!! This “20 minute job” will turn into a multi-day nightmare in this case!! Patience will be your best friend with this job!! I’ve also read that removal is a lot easier when the engine is warm; especially if your valve is caked up with burnt oil like the one in this video is!

Thanks Man. I bought a replacement PCV Valve for My 2003 Sienna about 4 years that's a push-in valve like yours but I could not locate the PCV valve on my vehicle. Even a local Toyota dealer service and parts department that sold me the valve the valve was on the other side of he engine. And when the Service Department could not point it out, they said it does not have a PCV Valve. After watching your video I found out my 2003 uses a threaded PCV valve under the throttle body. I went to a local NAPA store and they sold me a threaded replacement instead of the push-in style.

My 2002 didn't require touching the wires. I only had to shift the coolant over-flow line out of the way -- on a cool engine. My super long weird pliers were enough to R&R the PVC valve. ( 3 to a set, out of Red China. Cheap and amazingly effective. )

Have you had to work on the ABS modulator or pump yet. On my 2001 Sienna with 447,000 miles has failed.

Might need the rubber grommet too, while you're at it. The one I'm working on had a dried up rubber grommet, that also neede replacing.

235K miles and I still have the original. Notice mpg is really bad. I changed spark plugs and air filter. Hope this will fix it. Was going to change it before but had a hard time removing it. Wish I had the screwed on ones.

I have same van and it looks way more dirty and oily than yours for sure I need a new one and 2 days ago I got a random po300 ,,po301 ,po302 misfire my question is can the broken PVC be the reason for these misfires???

You dont want to hwar sound when you shake it. It suppose to move under pressure.

Does the PVC valve have anything to do when you push on the gas and it cuts out like it's sucking air

Man if the inside of your engine looks like that you should do a seafoam and oil change to see the before and after results

how did you put it in? I bring it loose, I can't put it in. it's very difficult to put it in. Someone share a video of how to put it in.

I also have a Toyota Sienna " 2000 " I like to see if you can possibly put on a cold air intake or some kind of performance part.
