Not being sarcastic. I am very proud of you for knowing how to explain things properly. It's so hard to find competent people anywhere on the internet. This generation is getting ridiculous with lack of intellect and common sense. You're better than you know
This video was very helpful with the steps he provided in the video but it was alot easier to remove the bumper support 6 bolts and it all swings out and you can get everything back together and push it back in
Why all that work? Fan comes out a lot easier, no need to disassemble entire car to replace the fan! Just remove the battery, and battery holder to reach right side bolt which holds the fan, disconnect the water hose from radiator, fan comes right out, I did that for less than one hour, and I am not professional.
Great video. I used this to replace the radiator on my 2005 Equinox about a year ago. But now I have an issue with one of the fans. Is there any way to just replace the bad fan motor without taking out the radiator again? Thanks.
I have a 08 Equinox. My fans stop working sometimes. I'm about to order a new one from Amazon. The dealer will charge an arm and a leg for a job like this. If I don't try it myself, I hope to find a good mechanic. Thanks for this video!!
Hey Andy! I have a 2006 Pontiac Torrent/Chevy Equinox that had overheating problems because there was no power at all going to the duel fans. I changed out the Fan circuit located behind the driver side headlight. Still no power. I jiggled the electrical connection at smaller of the duel fans and the one fan started to run only, if I held it in one position. So I changed out the connection and with the A/C turned on high, the one smaller fan kicked on only. Should the larger fan turn on as well or does it only run at higher extreme temperatures?? Thanks for your help!
I got mine out via engine bay I came looking to see if I could sneak it past the upper rad hose (i took it off) holy crap this is way too large of a project
Hey Andy, can you give me information about the part you remove at 3:13? I am looking for a replacement part for both the "radiator deflector' and "air tube" on an 07 Equinox, but cannot find the parts anywhere.
+Chelle McCaskill Thanks for checking us out! This part can also be called the radiator shroud. We do not carry this part at the moment and may be a dealer only item right now. You can also check with local part stores to see if they can get this or you can always go to a pick-a-part and salvage one there.
What if the one on the left turns on but sometimes stops working and then I have to lightly tap to get the fan to kick back on. The one on the right doesnt seem to be working at all but I also havent wiggled the connector. What do I replace the whole fan assembly or the connector?
