I may have missed it, but I think you forgot to connect the new actuator to the door handle. This would have been the most important part of the video.

Now know why it costs so much to get anything fixed; very useful, comprehensive video ; mechanic has my admiration; but I know I would never be able to get even the door PANEL back together if I tried this myself. Was looking do-able for the first few mins but then the complexity of the different screws /bolts /bits to link unlink just boggled me . Note to self -try never to buy a car with any computerised remote IT based anythings. PS cant open the door at the moment ; but video has prompted me to Get Me to A Garage. Thank you

What year? the 2009 year model is notorious for failing lock actuators. I believe the other model year B8's had redesigned ones.

Hi I have a 2004 Audi a6 and the door wont open from the inside. if I try to open the door with the inside handle, I can hear a click but it wont open...Do you have any idea what it could be?

The door latch rod or cable may have broken or fallen off on the inside of the door. Hope this helps to point you in the right direction. 1aauto.com

Take the rear seat off just lift it up. Unscrew door card and try to careful get it off if you sucseed then you have access to pull open the door and then change the door lock to new. I have not done it myself but owning this car for 10 years and maintaining it myself this makes sense and seems logical steps. Good luck
