Never, NEVER drive a new bearing in using the inner race. If you are removing one and not reusing it then go for it, no problem. Otherwise always drive in a new bearing using the outer race. Consider using the old bearing as a driver. If you have a cutting wheel you can cut up the old bearing to disassemble it and use the outer race as a driver so it is easy to remove after fitting the new bearing.
