Just gotta say, youre timing is insane. Starter went out today. You have saved me nearly $1000 in labor costs to date. Thank you for all you do. There arent many comments here but I know thousands of people (especially low income) could not be more thankful for such an amazing teacher on youtube while we tinker and learn about our cars.

There's a lot of places to buy parts but I buy some 1aauto because of this videos. You've saved me a ton in labor! The woman mechanic showed me how to do wheel bearings on an 05 Lexus ES330
Thank you sir Why can’t everyone make a simple video without having to give there life story before telling us how to not fix the problems So again thank you I can always count on you and your channel to get any job done

Excellent video - no fluff or bs or click bait. Just a straight up installation video with good information to supplement the replacement of the starter.

This was hairy for me because I didn't have the right extension. Mine were too long or too short. 6inch would've been perfect. Overall not a bad repair at all, but I could not have done it without your video. It covered all the necessary parts and you saved me some hassle by stating which size sockets I would need for each bolt. Thank you!
I had no idea where the starter was. This video seriously helped me get my girls car started this morning. She praised me in more ways then one lol. Thanks bud!! Instant follow!
I just wanted to say thank you very much for this video. I have the same exact model car and your video made installing the starter very easy. Thank you for taking time and making this video. We are grateful to you!! 👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you for this video. Got stranded on a road trip and this helped solve my problem. Was just a bit difficult finding the starter on the stick shift model but other than that thank you 🙏🏽
Thank you So Much for this video. I had never heard of you guys before but you have earned my business. I will always check you first from now on when I need parts. These videos are extremely well done. I’ve made tutorials videos and I know how difficult and time consuming they can be.

A word of warning. These starters will give you about a months warning in advance when they are going out. I tried stretching that and had to get the car towed home, luckily I wasn't far. Great Video
Wooo hoooo thanks for the great vid instructions. Just replaced my 04 Altima starter and fired right up. Car still had original 20 year old starter but was giving the clicky clicky occasionally when turning ignition key.

Great video just did mines took about an hour . The bolt thats under the starter is at first hard to figure where it's at. But got it done. Again thanks for this great video . I've watch many of your videos . Now imma tackle my brakes and rotors .
This is the best instructional video for changing a Nissan X trail T30 Automatic trans starter Motor. Thanks heaps would give 10 thumbs up if I could :) Took me 1.5 days to sort out. Can Confirm the same tools work (17mm Bolts etc.). You just need to remove the whole Air filter Box and unfasten the wire from throttle Body and other hook ups. No need to get under Car. Same part works. Thanks so much for vid ended up gettin a new part in for $300AU (including $80 worth of tools (breaker bar etc.)). Pixked up new starter from Repco on the spot for $211. All up saves me $600 Au easy :) cheerz big Earz

The video was very detailed and helpful. I changed the starter in 1.5 hours. The bottom bolt gave me a difficult time. I chose to remove the battery completely because it was in the way. But 1A Auto as always provides detailed instructions. Car is back on the road and saved 150.00. Mechanic wanted 300. But i paid 149.99 at advance auto plus 12.00 core. Would have bought from 1A but it was a have to have now part. 😔. Thanks 1A
Thank you guys for the video. I am going to try and replace the starter on my 2005 Nissan Altima. Let’s see how it goes!! I am not much of a mechanic so I’m hoping everything comes out well and I don’t mess up my car. Lol

Well I hope this video will help me, I need to put a starter on a '2018 Nissan Altima SV' in the next couple days, searched youtube but cant find anything close except this one my grandpa & uncle took it off
All good, only 1 small tiny suggestion, grab a tiny little piece of 120 grit sandpaper and sand the positive wire connection terminal at the starter side, it seemed very dirty and rusty so a little sandpaper would have left it shiny and ready for a nice flow.

I would have taken a second to (sandpaper) clean the positive terminal - might save you a voltage drop issue down the road. Thanks for the helpful video.
You guys are lucky, the older models are more of a pain to remove because the starter sits directly underneath the intake manifold. It can only be remove from underneath the car.
I just bought a new starter 2 weeks ago and I went out to my car and when I turn the key to start the engine my dashboard lights up but I here a whinning sound and the engine will not crank. What could be the problem??
+Harold Howard We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
