You explained very well in your video and showing how bushing is supporting the starter motor. By the way, I want to use short part (about 10 to 20 seconds) of your video in my video if you don't mind. I want to use around 9:21 in your video where you explain about the old starter and bushing. So when you replace the starter the bushing stays inside the transmission? The SR17X says, "This starter is compatible with all air-cooled cars with auto-stick or fully automatic transmissions." I have a 1971 that is manual, your saying this is still compatible with a manual transmission?
I did not remove the starter bushing. And yes this is comparable with manual transmission. My bus in this video is manual and I used this automatic starter. The only difference is no bushing is required. I explain the difference at 8:50
