This question is for the 2011 Civic, if you are able to answer it. Since the EX model has the upgraded stereo system, it has both the cruise and audio control (Part # 36770-SVA-A41), while the LX model only have the cruise control (Part # 36770-SVA-A31). Currently, the LX model is among one of my option I'm looking to buy (I understand that it won't be able to function with the standard radio either way). From what I can see, both trim levels used the same connectors, so I would like to believe I'm able to used the EX's switch assembly in the LX after setting up an aftermarket radio. Am I correct in assuming this or Honda didn't have it pre-wired in the LX to save on cost in resources?

Hi. I have a 2010 model Honda City LS (empty equipment) vehicle. Would the module be active if I took the cruise control keys like your video? Are cables from the steering wheel to the brain of the car and so on standard? Thank you.

The lights on the switches suddenly stopped illuminating at night when i switch on the headlight. What do i do to rectify it please?

Hmm after seeing this video I'm more inclinded to find the cruise wire further down the line and hotwire the cruise so it's always on. Leave it to over engineering to make it stupidly hard to get to a simple switch.

Are there extra steps to consider if you have the hybrid version of this car, or is it as simple as disconnecting the negative terminal on the car battery (the one under the hood, not the one under the back seat)?

The lights on in these switches are quite dim on my 2007 Civic. Does replacing them solve that problem?

It did for me, I could barely see them, almost a faint green. I bought a pair from e-bay, it didn't say what color, but when I installed them, they were a nice red color, looked sharp, and they were much much brighter.

So the lights went out on the steering wheel on my 08 Honda Accord.I called the dealership about getting it fixed and they said those aren’t serviceable.I now know why.Good good all that just to change a switch

I need to install audio and cruise control in honda HRV, can i do it without unplug the battery ACCU? Im afraid it will reset any original setting on machine

No, you actually do not have to remove the wheel. I just replaced the buttons on my '06 this morning without that unnecessary step. Once the airbag has been removed, all that needs to be done is removing the four Phillips screws on the back of the steering wheel (with a stubby screwdriver) to remove the front trim piece and the attached buttons.
