I just changed the intake manifold and gasket. I've watched every video I could find on RU-vid about it. I have a 2000 TJ 4.0 and no one shows what a pain it is to get the 14mm bolt off under number 3 injector. I bet I spent 7 hrs total getting that one off and on. I've done all the work myself on this Jeep since I've owned it and will never do that again. I will pay someone to do it next time. Other than leaving the hardest part out, great video.

The gaskets that I usually use are felpro there good quality, with every head gasket job I always change the head bolts. Because most bolts anymore are torque to yeild and they dont work after one use they have a specific clamping force Thanks for watchin like and subscribe for more tips ad tricks

Stupid question; sorry in advance. But what tools did you use to get lower bolts for intake and exhaust manifold out? I can't seem to reach them with my tools. Also I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee with very similar set up.

On the exhaust flang bolts the flag nuts break. I was able to get new hardware from the dealer and and had to just cut those off.thanks for watchin besure to like and subscribe for more tips and tricks

I'm in the process of doing this right now. I need to remove the ac lines. Do I need to discharge them before removing them?
@fixergood
@fixergood 4 года назад
Yes ac work is dangerous, you need to have the system evacuated by a professional and the recharged by one also. Thanks for watchin
