Just wanted to let you know, I watched 5 different videos about changing Cruze thermostat and none of them helped me. I found this video and it helped me replace my thermostat just in time for winter. Thank you sir
I just tried to this job. I fought with mine forever and never got it out. This is my daily driver and didn’t want to risk damaging the old part and really be stuck. I decided to reinstall the old one. I got it all tightened, connectors replaced and the hose put back on. Then something weird happened. I started it back up and it was perfect. The Check Engine light is even off. It came up to temp and the heat worked fine. I still have the new part but I’m going to see how long this lasts.
The thermostat was not allowing the car to get up and maintain the proper temperature , other than that it was not causing any issues. Thanks for the feedback.
Autozone has a coolat pressure tester loaner tool. I would start there . You will want to pump up about 20 psi or so , engine cool , and pin point exactly where the coolant is leaking. Most likely a coolant hose . Very common for a hose to leak just because it was disturbed. Tighten the clamp up if that is the case . If it is from the housing itself , the seal may be defective. Hope this helps.
@@larondacleveland5117I’ve done every step also and it was working for a few weeks but it’s making the noise and temperature gauge is stuck on cold again. The hose that connects to the thermostat is leaking a little. Would that be the problem?
