How to replace the window motor and window motor regulator 2003 G35 Coupe

Today I’m uploading my first tutorial video! I’ll be showing you guys how to replace the window motor regulator and window motor on the driver side door of my 2003 Infiniti G35 coupe. Now the steps my vary from passenger side or sedan models.
For this you will need :
Flat head screwdriver
Philips head screwdriver
10mm ratchet
12mm ratchet
Ratchet extension
Patience
And of course the parts

this was very helpful, thanks. my motor also works like yours when i have it off of the regulator. instead of buying a whole new regulator i'm gonna try cleaning the spool and the tracks

Mine doesn’t even make that sound, so ima replace the regulator today since I tried replacing the motor yesterday and well it’s not the window motor. So let’s hope it’s the regulator

you know how on G35s when you close the doors the windows slide up a bit?.. We're they still able to roll up after you installed the new motor and regulator?

Absolutely. Just make sure you have the window properly in position

King David well I knew it was either the regulator or the motor because when I would hit the window switch I could hear the sound of gears grinding but the window wasn’t moving. And I also had to pull the window up with my hands or slam the door to get it going. So I went to my local dealership and they recommended I replace both at the same time

King David yea it’s much more expensive at the dealer so I went to my local Bennet auto supply and I got the regulator and motor much cheaper. My price will be different than yours because I got it at whole sale price for working at a dealership

I cant get the regulator to align the window with the car.. how do you keep the regulator in place..

3rick 928 it’s tricky. There’s a little ledge in the door that helps it stay up and sorta align. It takes some playing with

Hey man, Im doing this job currently, my question is the top screws of the regulator you said are 10mm but what size thread? I have to get some bc mine are completely missing! Any help is appreciated thank you!

My best advice would be to take out one that’s similar and take it to a parts store to find a match.

Hey Dale, mine stopped working in the down position. All I hear is a very faint CLICK sound when I push the up button.(which I assume is is the RELAY clicking letting me know it's not just a fuse cause power is getting there) Do you think that means I need the motor? Wouldn't I hear at least the motor trying to raise it if the motor was still good? Only problem is on all my past FORD and VW's it was always the actuator/regulator that went out. I have NEVER had a motor fail! BUT I am thinking this time on the Infiniti it is the motor because on the other makes I could always still hear the motor working, but not this time. Agree or disagree? Thx!
