Great video, maybe the best one for my vehicle. You went through all the steps quickly, making it easy to follow. I stepped through the video to replace the valve cover gaskets and spark plugs on my 2006 Ford Freestyle. When the job was done, I stepped through it again from the beginning just to make sure and discovered a loose hose clamp. When I finished, the Freestyle ran perfectly - Thank you!

Good idea to check the cam retainer bolts. They are notorious on this engine for coming loose. If they do.... your engine is toast. Thanks. Great video.

And may want to let folks know yet when you pull the fuel line make sure to relieve the pressure on the fuel line or get covered in gas right in your eyes

Is it possible to replace the gasket cover on the front half without removing all the pieces? I was told that mine were slowly leaking and that this would eventually become a huge issue, however that the cost of labour in Nor Cal to remove and reinstall everything to access the valve covers would be in the $1000s and thus not worth it. I have little experience with cars so don't trust myself to detach everything and reattach it, but as a student I can't afford to pay for the mechanic to do it. I thought maybe if the front three are easily accessible I could do those myself and at least half of the problem would be solved.

Replacing the spark plugs on my 05 freestlye soon and I figured I will have to take out the intake manifold, so I might as well replace all the gaskets. Including the pesky EGR valve lol This video helped. Appreciate it. Question, my 05 freestyle has close to 220k miles. I'm thinking of draining some fluid and replacing the filter. There is nothing currently wrong with my tranny, I'm doing some maintenance. I heard changing transmission fluid on a higher mileage car will make the tranny slip. I don't see how only if it's already going bad. I think adding some new fluid and filter will only help give new life to an old tranny. What is your opinion?

When you removed the motor mount bracket, did you have to jack up the engine for support? If you did, where did you place your jack underneath the car? Some say under the oil pan with a piece of wood and others say don't do it under the oil pan because it can mess up your oil pan.
