hi and thanks for the visit, if it is the first cruze generation: 2008 2016, then you have to remove the whole assambly to replace the stud unless you want to grind the head of the wheel stud which is not good, good luck.
I haveb2007 impala fron wheel studs keep on breaking.intially car had 4 wheel studs breaking.2 on each wheel on front.i put 2 hubs assembly now car back again with snapped 3 studs on front.i even torqued the wheel.not sure why they keep on breaking front.they just snapped like when you gun and it snaps.
wheel studs will brake: excessive heat so make sure wheel bearings and brake calipers are fine, too tight/loose, some have more/less torque than others, most common mistake at the time of installing them, they have small grooves or channels along so dont twist those small grooves when installing them, in other words dont pull it out with impact guns when installing them but instead hit it with a puncher or some thing similar, second: dont tight one completely n then go to the next one n also tight it completely because you are putting so much pressure on one side only, do it criss cross. evenly in stages.
no that tool is not meant for that purpose, it is like small chisel perfect for that purpose but not make for that, i have used it in so many different ways n it has helped me a lot, thanks for coming to my channel.
On the Chevy Malibu what is the the description of the 2 tools you used? The cordless impact wrench to take off the axle nut? Like the ) name of the tool/ brand / voltage/ torque capacity. I would like to have one of those that can take off the axle nut. And the other tool. The other cordless tool?
milwaukee impact gun 1200 f/b of torque and 700 f/b to tight the bolts but this one was upgraded to 1400 f/b of torque because i bought this one a bout 7 years ago n i have used it every day. the other cordless ratchet is only 70 f/p of torque 3/8 drive n it is milwaukee it has been also upgraded because also bought it about 7 years ago n they still very trong. thanks for coming to my channel.
