I did it! 62 year old female with just a tad of mechanical knowledge. The video was awesome!

After watching this video I just ordered a replacement window regulator for my '09 2500HD from this company. I've watched several videos from 1A Auto for other repairs on my vehicles but this is the first time I've ordered from them. I figured I should throw some business their way for helping me out several times in the past with their excellent youtube tutorials. The website is great by the way; very intuitive and I was quickly able to find the parts that I needed. While I was there I also ordered a rear 3rd brake / cargo light to replace the original one that has been leaking for a while.

Once again, your videos have helped me save money by doing my own repairs. Thank you, and your crew, for your straight-forward instructions without all the excessive gibber-gabber.

This is a great video. I am not handy with car repair but the instructions are spot on. Worked perfectly.

Only difference on my 08 was the top of the door panel had to clip over a rail on the window seal.Then the bottom clips were installed. Bought the part from you guys . Perfect fit. Thanks for taking the time to do a video.

Although it was a great video, I found out that leaving the window taped up is easier than sliding it down and risking a scratch. It was risky, but letting the part that holds it slide down and installing the new one and bringing it up with the driver door was a lot quicker.. great video though!

Rear window stopped working; saw the cable had broke. This tutorial really helped. Thanks for posting.

Great video. Bought the part from you, 1Aauto, and your video walked me through each step. However, the applicable vehicles should be from 2008-2013 (not 2008-2012). Model change was in 2014. Only difference in my 2013 was the power window switch had a white retaining clip that took a little time to figure out. Otherwise, your video was right on the money. Thanks!

I might be a little late, but a question about the water seal. Does it just go back on, or do I need to do anything to it to "reapply" the seal?

Thanks for this an awesome video! Very clear and easy to understand and follow! I got my regulator changed and the window actually WORKS! It's so cool! My only problem is that I can NOT, no matter what I do, seem to get the stupid door panel back on! It goes partly together okay (after some wrestling) except for the side where the door handle is. It just refuses to push back to where I can put in the bolts. (I honestly spent over an hour on it this evening!) I keep wanting to think its the door handle cable, because it LOOKS like it might be getting pinched, but I can't find anything else to do with it that won't twist it up.

I have followed the video three or four times and for some reason my window will not roll up without jumping. It goes up with help and sometimes will go up all of the way. I have to pull it up while pushing the button. Is there a certain pattern for the bolts when reinstalling?

The part linked in this video says it's for the drivers side. Are driver and passenger side the same part?

2012 GMC Sierra 1500 Extended Cab Rear Passenger window not working, changed old switch with new switch will not work with new switch from rear position. Works fine from the master control from front driver side any ideas what the problem could be ?

is it possible to convert my 2008 ext cab w/t into electric regulators. both windows and locks using factory parts that way it looks original on all doors mine r manual

Do they make that a manual option? I have a 2009 extended cab and I know the window goes down. And I would like to add the option because there's no way to roll it down right now. It's the work truck Edition. But I do know the track is in there? I realize I'll have to cut a hole for the window crank. Thanks for any help I'm just trying to get that window down.

I can’t lower my front passenger window but can raise it and I can lower my rear passenger window but can’t raise it from my driver side switch. What could be the issue?

Mine only goes down not up. Assuming need a regulator

Why did you have to lower the window when you took the regulator out?

My issue is that the window won’t stay up, why dis y’all bring it down if it would stay up anyway?
