Today we take a quick look on how to replace the key fob battery on the latest generation of Porsche key fobs.
pretty quick and easy video, if you have long nails, I'd give a bit of caution to prevent you from damaging your nails.
These key fobs use a CR2032 battery.

“New” fob? When was it released? I have a ‘23 Macan (my first P) with an old fob and immediately noticed the inner key can’t be used without removing an attached key ring😡. I see this has been “fixed” and wonder if I can get a “new” style fob as a replacement. If so, what’s the cost?

If I'm honest I wouldn't bother, it's so incredibly rare that you need to access that hidden key that it's just not worth the easily 600 dollar per key fob cost to just buy a new fob, let alone find a way to retrofit it.

I do also have a trick for those, you kinda rotate the key ring so you can JUST pull out the emergency key enough to lift up on it gently. It can pop off the battery cover but makes it easy to get the emergency key out without removing the whole keyring. just watch for flying batteries LOL

No idea what you mean by this. If the key is not starting the car then my first suggestion is to make sure the battery you replaced was installed correctly and not the old one. The car doesn't typically "lose" key programming that easily.
