HOW TO: This is a how to remove or replace the battery in a MINI R53 which is in the original boot space Please feel free to share this video to any social media platforms and don't forget to subscribe to my channel for more how to's!
My 2003 R53 MINI Cooper S has a vent hose that must be connected on the right hand side of the battery. There is no mention of this in the video. The hose vents potentially explosive gas to prevent it building up inside the car, as the battery is located in the boot rather than the engine bay (where natural airflow does the job of venting).
