Awesome video and detailed instructions. Just got a returned new asus and previous owner never erased therefore couldn’t logged in 😢. After watching your video got into my pc. Thanks brother
Bought brand new laptop and turning on someone account appear with pin required from Walmart,I was surprised,I will never buy any electronics from Walmart, thanks this video works for me
Thank yoy so much for this video. I bought an open box ASUS A16 advantage edition laptop from Best Buy & they didn’t factory reset it before reselling and they wouldn’t have been able to get me in for a reset until next week -_-
@@marieclay1981 i been trying but not even that, Troubleshoot page is reached, if [MyASUS in Win RE] or [ASUS Recovery] option is not available in Troubleshoot page, it means your notebook doesn't equip with ASUS Recovery feature. Probably mine, thank you for responding will keep trying your steps.
This is not a solution if you forgot your password or pin to do a hard reset. The main thing is you probably have a phone with email look up when you registered your Asus and follow that link it will bring you up to login and forgot PIN it will talk you through it. A hard reset is just lazy or if you did something bad which can be brought right back up again because hard wipe doesn't actually wipe it it just writes over it.
Mines still got alot of options after i clicked the last step u said like ,do u really want to remove these files, and are u sure? But i really hope this works! Bc i havent opened this laptop for a year in february 2 2022 so i hope this works ! 0:40
Why mine just gave me 2 options and said ((Startup settings Change windows startup behavior)) ((Uefi firmware settings Change setting in your PC's UEFI firmware))
Forgot my password because I had chose to sign in by fingerprint? I don't recall doing password? I follow your instructions to reset by pressing shift key then click on restart while still holding down the shift key, but the one page never came up? The page for me to sign in came back up? Help me please!
Another way for the same page; plug in a windows bootable usb then go to boot option and select usb, when the screen comes up you can remove usb without worries.
Now I am thinking.. what if some malicious person would so this to someone on purpose "just for fun" while the laptop owner is away. Losing everything in 15 seconds. What..
