How to reset on Audi / VAG Group Throttle & ECU Transmission | Fix Jerking (For all automatic transmissions - Tiptronic, S-Tronic / DSG, Multitronic / CVT) | 4K
I have Audi a6 2.0 tdi quattro 2018 c7,5 and use to have a problems with start and shift from 1 till 2. After this it's much better. Thanks a million times.
Was just on the road for an hour to try this out.. 20 mins to warm up engine, 5.5 minutes for the reset procedure in your video, 12 minutes driving with low rpm in D ( I did read that in another tutorial) and the rest in S mode. Reacts way quicker to kickdown, shifts smoother and better than before. Thanks bro. I drive an Audi a6 c7 1.8 TFSI
Thank you so much bro🙏 I really feel the difference , my car is shifting gears much smoothly now.. You are great👍 I have an Audi a6 avant 2.0tdi ultra 190ps 2014.
Pleased to confirm this works on older dsg/s-tronic cars as well. Just did it on my 2007 B6 passat TDI and it worked wonders. The car was kinda launching it when trying to reverse carefully, and sometimes depending on how I would press the throttle it would jerk forward before pulling off. Did dsg adaption multiple times via the obd scantool, and it always helped but it would go right back to jerking again few hundred miles later. Hopefully this pedal reset will last. Thanks ✌️
So I defiantly thought this was BS... I have a 2012 A7 and have had jerking issues from the start, especially first going into second gear. After testing it, it seems to have actually made a pretty noticeable difference. Thanks for sharing!!
Wow your a star 💪🏻👌🏻 iv just had an uprated clutch pack in my SQ5 and ever since its been grabby and lurching on low speed pick up! I assumed it was due to the clutches bitting harder but just tried your system and BOOM!! smooth and perfect again 😁😁 nice one very impressed indeed.
Thank you so much. The acceleration lag is gone, reverse gear now has more power and fuel consumption has improved since I don't have to over-rev. Sweet!
So i did this after i had my throttle body replaced on my C7 2013 Audi A6 3.0T Quattro ( premium plus ) i do feel a difference in the shifting and that little stutter went away. But i still have to sometimes give it a little push on the gas pedal when i start it if it isn’t a cold start sometimes. Is there something else i must do to rest the throttle body as well as the new o2 sensors i installed.
i have a4b7 3.0tdi quattro and my automatic gearbox started to do weird sh*t (probably went into service mode). tried your trick and by far gearbox working again as usual. thanks i guess.
I have a 2011 Audi A3 1.8T s-tronic and on normal and hard driving, I sometimes hear a fairly loud click sound when it upshifts or downshifts. Any idea what it may be?
Hello! After that in dynamic mode on uphill it’s stay at 2500 rpm and it’s not shifting up! How it’s suppose to driving after this reset? In comfort, dynamic or Auto?
I picked up a new to me B8 S4 as a daily driver. It has 130K on tho ODO. I was having some roughness when first pulling away from being parked in the morning. And a little hesitation going from reverse to drive and the opposite. I have been a little nervous I was going to eventually have a mech issue. However, this seems to have fixed the issue. Everything feels much smoother. Thanks 👍
@@matevzkrajnik94 It only helped for a couple weeks at best. I ended up eventually babying the car. Letting it warm up for a good amount of time in cold weather. Delaying a good couple of seconds when shifting from D to R, etc... And I eventually traded the vehicle in before I had any issues.
jak to dokładnie działa???? jak mam stage 1 to mi go usunie z skrzyni ? how exactly does it work???? If I have stage 1, will it be removed from my gearbox ???
I just did this for my 2015 Q5 2.0 because it would jerk hard from 1st to 2nd and after I did the reset I couldnt even tell when it was shifting👍🏽...thanks alot
WTF is this Voodoo! - I was watching this as we have an A6 C6 Avant that is very much part of the family, that has been an absolute legend of a machine and I do not want to change it for another one, but getting on now, so worry about how long it can keep going. Was beginning to flare going down hill, quite wildly sometimes. I thought, all mates thought, this is TC failing. . . saw this vid thought I had nothing to loose, and first attempt, it has all but gone :) I kid you not...... There was a little bit of a tiny fluctuation on a steep decent. but its now about 1% as bad as it was. Might try the process again and see. Will see how long it lasts, but now tempted to change GB oil. Was not wanting to risk it before at 178,000 miles and never having been done. Thank you so much!!!
My 2014 VW CC (a CPO that I bought with just 7500 miles on it) with 6 speed DSG seemed to be “shuddering” on acceleration (not missing gear changes; rather, it was slight hesitations...almost like being buffeted while driving into a sudden headwind). Our local dealer found no error codes, and recommended clutch pack replacement. That was completed in October 2020. The problem seemed to be resolved for about five months, then returned even more prominently than earlier. I followed the instructions in this video and the problem seems to be corrected. I suspect it was the recalibration after the clutch pack replacement, and not the clutch pack replacement itself, that worked in October. We shall see how it goes over the next few weeks.
Hey, I have a problem that sound similar. I notice it mostly in 3rd-5th gears, at between 30-70mph, and only when at about 40-50% throttle. Does that sound similar? It's like the car does a small hop every half a second
@@crackspider101 sounds similar.....car would be moving forward, no gear slippage (i.e., no sudden increase in revs), but a repeated "bump" against forward motion...no weird sounds from the gearbox or engine, otherwise.
Touch wood, this seems to have sold my issues with "hopping" in 4th gear acceleration. Also seems WAY smoother from 1st->2nd, and 2nd ->1st, but that may be placebo. I need to do more testing. I've tried to do this procedure before, but maybe I didn't hold it long enough. When the car has cooled down I will have to try again, and update this comment
Hey there i have one question I have audi q7 3.0 2011 model Recently serviced and battery changed after few days car was unable to get motion once brakes were lifted Unless we hit the accelerator till 1500rpm then the car moves with a jerk And a engine and heater light blink once for fraction of a second And now rpm dips when hit the gas paddle in idel rpm with the same engine and heater light just for a fraction of the second Now car is with the service center for 2 weeks now with no fault code Please help 🙏
Try to scan your car. You have to see DTC’s and erase it. Try this step by step. After you erase Dtc’s, do a test drive, and see how the car is driven.
Thank you so much! It seemed as though my theottle and clutch didn't have good coordination. This fixed it. No more rough 3-2 downshift in sport mode while slowing down, no more low speed lurching. 2013 S7.
when we have to wait a couple of minutes do we have to close the car? once we drive then we have to drive a certain way (shift gears at low, high revs, drive in S) or normally?
When you waiting couple of minutes, I recommend to close car. After this, you drive car normally in D mode (normal shifting in Drive, gear shift 1600-2000 rpm).
@@Alexandru_Aioanei I have a problem that when the car is hot, when the 2nd gear engages the clutch sometimes "jumps" before attacking, other times when it puts the 4th gear it slips the clutch .. could it be problems that can be solved with this reset?
my manuals + - are not working, im going to test this, cause i saw on another videos too.. i like to change gear by my self and not let auto change, i dont like when engine get high rmp for nothing, so is much better to change gears and hold max rmp on 2.000.. thnx for video
Hello! Thanks for the vídeo! Did the reset in a b7 multitronic and have improved a Lot gear shifting. until 4th gear all ok! Less lag also. From 5th to 7th when giving real gas not ok… Slipping a lot!
Not to be a party pooper but multitronic hasnt got any gears, its a cvt, the gears you shift in s-mode are just software immitating gears. It works just like many 50cc scooters, just a belt (chain in the case of multitronic) and 2 pulleys.
Salut.
Are 134k km si face treaba asta.
didnt think this would work, but what do you know. Audi RS5 in 1st to 2nd had a slight shudder and lagging from reverse to 1st.....problem solved, gear change is now smooth. thanks legend
What year is your RS5? 2021 My B9 has rough jerky shifts when coming to a stop. Usually I notice the issue when it drops from 5th down to 3rd or 2nd before stopping completely. All upshifts though are golden .
@@CSgonzales86 I’m having this same issue with my 2018 Audi S6. When coming to a stop on dynamic mode in normal drive mode not “S” mode I get a clunky downshift that I can both feel and slightly hear when the transmission downshifts to 2nd gear from 3rd. It’s very annoying and I’ve tried readapting the clutches and transmission as well as a full dsg service and no luck. Also did motor mounts and still no luck. I will try what this video says though. Have you fixed your issue?
Salut.. azi dimineata am bagat in masalier si mia dat error malfunction gearbox.. am stins motoru si lam pornit iara e ok.. ce crezi ca ar putea fi? Mersi.. audi a7 2011 3l
No nothing happen😂 there no risk it's just an adaptation learning driver behavior that all...😂 All these comments make me laugh somehow saying it's better 😂😂😂

Hello, will this restart do something to my power tune? I have a6c7 2.0 tdi 130kw after tune 160kw. If i do this restart the tune gona be there or it will be gone back to 130kw?
Salut. Succes!
Done that few minutes ago. i do feel big difference in the automatic gear shifting. its much quicker. Is it normal that i feel the gas pedal more "hard"? i mean, seems its resonding much better (or its just psychological ?
@@Alexandru_Aioanei Hi bro, what happens if we do it second time? Goes back to normal settings or gets even better? Or is it bad to do it more than once?
I dont know. If your car is in limp mode, this means you have a mechanical problem. You can try it, but no one guarantees that the problem will be solved
Hello , my car show gearbox malfunction message as i start the engine & this message doesn’t show every time i start the engine only few times .. can you help me regarding this issue... and can the reset help .. thank you in advance
@@alihoja86 Common issue on Audi 2012 ->. Coolant leaking through the cable that plugs into the gearbox. My A6 3.0 tdi got gearbox malfunction, revs all over the place and almost undrivable. 10 min under the car, air pressure cleaning the plug and the socket on the gearbox. And everything was working again, better than before. I believe you will have to replace the "coolant pressure valve" for a more permanent fix, but I havent had the problem again. And I recently checked the plug, still dry and clean after 1 year.
@@Alexandru_Aioanei Are ceva daca masina e inca in garantie?
Masina in cauza are 130k km.
My Audi A6 is sounding really “racey” Audi told me today it was because I needed new rear pads and discs!! Well I went elsewhere and got this changed for a quarter of Audi price but I still have this racey noise. I shall try this tomorrow! I know it something simple they could do but want to charge me £650!!
Hello, I drive a Skoda Rapid 1.5 TDI DSG 7 Speed and recently got the flywheel changed, however soon after the replacement scans have shown "p177D dual clutch - torque too High" error, test drives make a loud shuddering noise.... what should I do to get it fixed, please help!
Muralidhara SN whoever repaired the car, should know what it has, repair it to the end. My opinion is that you can also have problems with the clutches. Try to delete error and select from tester “basic & adaptation for clutches”
I have an 2012 a6 3.0 tdi c7 and I am experiencing jerking and slipping from the gearbox when shifting and slowing down. And when I accelerate hard to overtake or something an error code comes on - gearbox malfunction, You can continue driving (limited functionality). Will this fix the issue?
Salut.
Hello. The water must be at 90 degrees. With the ignition on, depress the accelerator pedal, while sitting on the pedal, turn on the ignition (without starting the engine). Stand on the accelerator pedal for 30 sec. After the 30 seconds have passed, take the ignition and after you have made the ignition, lift your leg after the accelerator pedal. Wait 5 minutes. (All this operation is done with the doors closed). After 5 minutes, you can drive the car. Success!
@@Alexandru_Aioanei Should the first press on the pedal be without ignition? (just sit in the car, close the doors, press the pedal for 30 sec, not touching the ignition button) After those 30 secs, while still sitting on the pedal (without the ignition), turn on the ignition button for another 30 secs?
@@nenadm.3269 Depress throttle pedal, while you depress throttle pedal, switch ignition on, and continue to press 30 sec. After 30 sec, switch ignition off and raise foot from throttle pedal. After this, close the doors and lock car and wait 5 min. After this, take car for test drive. Enjoy it! 👌

The only problem with this is that you have a diesel and they don’t have a trottelbody.. like the Petrol engine, but the procedures works for us with petroleum engine 😂
That throttle body on diesel engines is actually an anti shudder valve on EGR, and the procedure we just seen works very well to calibrate it after changing or recalibrate the old one. Tdi owner.
