If this doesn’t work, turn on the hazard lights then follow the procedure. Don’t ask me how, but it worked for me.

I just did this and it worked, however, there is a problem: not only did it make the service warning disappear, but it also reset the service interval which is now back to 15 thousand. A minute ago, when the warning was displaying, I had 8600 km left. So, how do I know if it was a geniune call for service because there is something not quite right with the car, or it was simply a board computer error and the service warning was coming up for no good reason?

It's good for your car if you serviced it within the advised service interval and reset the service indicator. You now have 15k km until the next advised service.
