Installed a CarPlay head unit in my Audi q5 and this happened to me! My obd scanner don’t have this so I’m ordering this one! I gotta get my car inspected next week so, I hope this works or imma have to go and pay Audi to do it
Just received this scanner and it worked to turn off airbag light. Now I wait and hope it doesn’t come back on. There’s nothing wrong I just removed the radio to install a new CarPlay in my Audi q5 and forgot to disconnect the battery.
On the recommendation of this video, I purchased this tool. It does read the airbag code 00588 driver side airbag igniter , but apparently there is supposed to be a sub code which indicates more detail of the problem. Such as resistance too high short circuit, over/under voltage etc. Is there a better scanner to use which will display the sub code? I can reset the code but it comes right back.
Think this will only clear an airbag fault code if you happen to disconnect or reconnect any airbag connector (with the battery connected or ignition on) .It will not fix a wiring or hardware/ software problem.
Hello, thanks for the video, I have a question, is it possible to disable the passenger airbag using this tool? My car has no inbuilt switch to turn it off. I know VCDS could do it but I only have a KKL cable not a K+CAN so I can't have access to the airbag module. Thanks!
I have a 2005 Audi Allroad. Will this interact with all its systems? I have three fault lights that keep coming up: air suspension, oil pressure, and Air Bag. Will this tool help me with all of these?
Take a look at the amazon page it says in there what it can do. I beleive it can read all codes but to make changes to the vehichle or program things it is limited to a small amount of things.
