In order for it to function after you reset it, you *NEED* the password to the iCloud account linked to the iPod. If you don't have it, the iPod is useless beyond that point. I have shown you how to reset it, *not to bypass the activation lock.*

Oh my gosh, I'm going to cry. I have exams tmrw and my teacher lets us listen to music. I lost my new iPod 2 days ago and am super bummed about it. I was desperate and started watching videos on how to restore my old iPod. I had no faith because I've tried so many times in the past. I don't know why is worked this time but, it did. Mine was stuck on Activation Lock. I followed the directions and now iTunes says it's in recovery mode, but I don't see it doing anything. My phone still has the iTunes symbol and cord symbol on it...hoping it will work.

Guys! I know it didn’t work for a lot of you because I seen something in the video.... he got a new iPod touch cause look at the home button in the beginning and then look at it at the end....

So I uploaded the original iPod reset video 3 years ago and since then the home button has broken. At the beginning of this video, I said I will be mixing in clips from the old video as well as the new one. So that's why in some of the clips it's a perfectly new iPod and others the home button is broken. I know alot of people are saying it's not working but there are also alot of comments thanking me because it does work. I don't know why it's working for some but not others. When I find out, I'll make an updated video with the solution, Hope this clears things up :)

Thank you soooo much for posting this!! My iPod went blank last night and no amount of button-pushing would wake it up. I thought I was going to have to buy a new one. (arrgh!) Then I watched your video. Even though I wasn't at home with my computer, I thought I would try it anyway...what's the harm, right? So I held the home button (1, 2, 3 count) and plugged it in...and it came on!! All of my music was still there!! Thanks again!!

Omg i been searching everywhere on the Internet for help, on the Apple website…everywhere!!!!! Finally something that helped me… my 3 year old daughter locked my iPod a year ago, it wasn’t connected to the wifi and it wasn’t being identified by iTunes!!! It is currently downloading the software which says it’s gonna take 27 hours but it is time for me to go to sleep. I feel like it’s Christmas Eve, eager for tomorrow ❤️thanks Update: ok so I woke up and it said the exact same thing “iPod disabled connect to iTunes.” The software did download on the computer though. So I repeated the process and it looks like the iPod is responding to the update! We will see 🤞

thanks man. This worked great. I was abe to use the apple devices app instead of Itunes and it still worked. I have my faters old I-pod that I plan on taking to the lake where ther is no internet and no cell coverage. thanks again

Helped me very much the only thing to let people know is in iTunes the loading bar for me was at the top in the middle of the window so look out for that might be a newer or older version not sure but works thanks
