Never accept a counter offer, you were looking elsewhere for a reason. Stick to your guns, even if they offered your more $, the trust is gone. They'll never forget you went elsewhere.
Thank you. I just resigned my job of 5 years in science. Great way to do it. Thank you. This went really well. It is kinda like a break up. On a followup meeting my supervisor complimented me on the way I resigned. So thanks!
@@kristenjersey7250 Then when your boss gets aggressive with another response, you stand up, bang the table with your hands and slam the door shut on your way out...
Last National Retailer I worked for was going bankrupt behind our backs. A new co-worker started & 4 weeks later was let go as the new owners shut divisions. I heard her old boss was away & told her to call the owner of her old employer as there was no replacement yet. She was able to repay her payout & resume her old role. She received a $5k bonus for returning & she kindly shared 50% with me. 6 months later our whole Division was closed for good :(
I don't have a family of my own so I got 2 Fs. Fire up the engine and F*** off out of there. I also don't have a career. I work my way up and work Sundays and train others and supervise people to see the guy hired last month on a few dollars an hour more than me when he doesn't even know what he's doing. At that point I think f*** this place, I'm sick of being used up and seeing HOURS MISSING in my payslip then leave. Last place I had 2 sidekicks and a lot of stress and responsibilities to make the company $80k-$100k PER WEEK with stuff they already owned. I had an extra 5 minutes for lunch one day and they docked me 15 minutes pay. Never told me but I noticed in the payslip. Then one of my sidekicks told me he was on more than me and felt the company was wronging me by paying me less. I left a few weeks later.
OMG! I ask me why did I not wacth that video earliar?I wrote my resignation and get counter-offer from my boss. And I accepted it. But now its allright. I wrote my resignation one more time in a week. And Im calm now. Sorry for my bad English!
OMG! I ask to myself, why I didn't watch this video earlier? I wrote my resignation letter and I got a counter offer from my boss. I did accept it. But now that everything is alright, I wrote my resignation letter one more time in a week. I guess, I'm okay now.
To really do it right, you can't give your boss any clues you're leaving before you resign. Don't ask for a raise; don't complain about anything, etc. Act like everything is fine and normal. Then when your boss is finished talking to you about something else, you go ... got a minute?
Lol..they would fire you and show you the door immediately but if you want to leave - they take it personal. 2 weeks is really BS..but I get how important that can be
He didn't cover some things. For example if your employer decides to terminate you that day what should be said? If they decide not to honor the two weeks or just show you the door. I definately agree on having something in writing and making sure its given to the right manager. But if the company has been good and you can afford to do then only do the two weeks. Many times if you have already given a start date for a new job that may not be possible. If the company is a toxic work environment then leave especially if it's a short gig of 5 months or less. It's harder if someone has been with a company for a long time.
Stomp into the bosses office and yell at the top of your lungs, "Take this job and shove it!". Proceed to let them know that they are the most miserable and disorganized company you have ever seen and the 3 stooges could do a better job of running the thing. Oh, and don't forget to moon them on your way out the door. No need for matches, as that bridge is now burnt.
If it’s a larger company, transferring to another team might be an option. If it’s a small company and there’s no where to go…just be honest and direct with the boss. If nothing improves, it’s time to go.
Do not need to offer 2 weeks this is very long winded. All you need to say is you are making the best move for your career, you enjoyed the time at the company and wish them the best. There doesn't need to be a long explanation, there is no 2 week notice. Always leave the last day before you start the next position or on a Friday if you are starting on a Monday. When they fire you, they don't give you 2 weeks, so don't give them 2 weeks. Don't tell them where you are going and just say take care and bye bye
im working at a pizza parlor and they didnt give me schedule 3days straight i dont know the reason why but i decided to resign and when i tell them that i want to resign they didnt give me schedule .. i said i will go to the store the other day and i will bring my resignation letter. can i ask some advice?
Fuck that! I’m quitting without a resignation letter or two weeks or help. Haha! I’m quitting bcuz the job either sucks, boss sucks , employees suck or pay. When they fire you their not gonna give you a two week notice, or help you. I’m gonna quit and leave with out telling no one and wait for the next job. That will give me two weeks of freedom to do whatever before going back to a new job. Now thats flawless ole sun.
To LIE about "family" as a reason for leaving is WRONG. If they were azzholez to work for, DON'T HIDE behind other excuses. Tell them nicely that they're azzholez or they underpay. Some FULLY GET that they underpay but it's the position they're in sometimes. They may have a lot of debt or high rent or something.
