If you are given a size of a completed item, like the length of a bracer, or the width of a chestplate, then you can use this calculation. Measure yourself to find out how long you'd like that measurement to be on your completed item, and do the calculation. Do keep in mind that this only scales the entire item, it won't make something thinner, or wider for example.
This method enlarges the entire pattern. If you want to change just one aspect you’ll have to do that by hand and it will require you to make changes to the entire pattern.
Hi! Most of my patterns will give at least one completed measurement in the instruction section of the pattern. I try to give the measurement I think will be most helpful for sizing correctly.
