It drives my family members who loves to deliberately verbally hurt me crazy when I do continual talking current discussion at hand as if they had not spoken. I don't give them verbal nor physical satisfaction reaction responses to their comments. It works like charm to put these family members in confusion reactions with my ignored verbal responses to their verbal attacks. I do already have my emotional shield up when I am around them nowdays once I have realized how to shut them down without giving them satisfaction responses that they wanted from me. I have chosen to fully ignored them verbally and emotionally by treating them like they had said nothing to me because I refuse to give them satisfaction in hurting myself.

The book of Isaiah in the bible, chapter 55, verse 10-11 tells us that the spoken word is like rain - it has to be RECEIVED for it to be helpful or damaging. So therefore all you have to do is NOTHING - but do not receive the word - and it (like the rain) will return to the place it came from....which in the case of someone speaking nasty things means it goes right back to them. Because if the coworker complains to a superior, and the superior asks you what happened, YOU can then honestly report that YOU didn't say or do anything...you walked away. @splinterhood
@splinterhood 2 года назад
I believe your explanation of the insult fits better with English colloquial. One you could add is, "Was that your insult? I really thought your could do better." then ignore them, and if they persist, "Eh, better luck next time, you should probably go practice because I'm embarrassed for you."
@orleansartist6095

My favorite thing to say to an insult is "I'll take that into consideration." They know you won't take it into consideration. It sounds polite but it's an indirect way to say "I don't care what you say."

But the moment you replied de tu b6 you took it out of God's hands to deal with it.
