you forgot to mention that you can just replace the rods and charcoal and its a new battery again.

It won't work at all.. The entire battery is 6 cells shorted out, and for some reason hooked up in parallel instead of series. The carbon short circuits the cells, there is no separator, you would get no output from this.

@@robweaver8872 *It actually works 100% for sure but their is a bug. Look carefully, its only a 2 volt BATTERY! All the cells are in parallel so its 2 volts at very high amps. You would need 6 of these to start a car but it does work. Build it and try it! Charcoal holds a LOT of Voltage even as Interpolated Hydrogen ATOMS at the Cathode (Charging) instead of Interpolated Lithium Atoms as in what happens in a standard LI-ion battery!! Also the POS and NEG all depends on how you first charge it. The Neg Can be Pos IF you charge it that way.*

Not really. All elements are coming from earth. The obsession about environment serves only financial interests and nothing more. Lead acid batteries were the best ever batteries used massively so far but some interests wants them to be obsolete for ... environmental reasons.

More likely a Aluminum/Magnesium alloy like a VW motor block casing alloy. The electrolyte is simple salt water (sea water) since any alkaline electrolyte would eat the electrodes away. Works for about 8 weeks before the Positive aluminum rods turn into white dust. This is called a common ZINC-AIR battery, the kind used in hearing aids. Shelf life is about 6 to 12 months if you use it or not but during daily use running 8 hours a day as in a "HOME POWER" application they are gone in 60 days flat. The rods cost 8 bucks a pound so its an easy fix but you will have to stay after it to keep it working. The water turns into Aluminum Chloride which is a white sticky mess so you also have to rinse the carbon every time you replace the anode and about every 4 or 5 years you have to reactivate the charcoal. There are lots of good videos on that topic here on YT. Not a bad battery but you have to stay on top of it LIKE ANY GOOD Power plant manager. I still like my zinc sulfuric batteries with MNO anodes bought on Ebay. They have a very strong charge and need minimal care and can be rebuilt every 10 years for the rest of my life without too much hassle.

Presuntamente los electrodos son de un mismo material, por lo cual no existe una diferencia para determinar polaridad... compararlo con un simple capacitor. De todas formas la idea está buena para realizar prácticas con diferentes metales y electrolitos... Sin olvidar Grafito y Carbón Activado en colectores 😏

Puedes solicitar varillas o electrodos de sacrificio que se usan en termotanque para calentar agua. Otra opción es conseguir Aluminio, Zinc, Magnesio en piezas que se instalan en embarcaciones...suerte 👍 Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷👋
