Make sure you have plenty of air available for ingress to attic from eaves or gable vents. If the fan draws too much CFM you can pull conditioned air out of the house. It will pull air from penetrations at ceiling fixtures, electrical outlets in walls that lead to wire holes in top plates...anywhere it can find air to make up for the supply deficit to the fan. You can air seal penetrations to help, but I have found air being drawn thru small cracks in ceiling plaster. Invest in a cheap FLIR camera for your phone if you want to go down a rabbit hole of leaking air in your old home. Just need lots of supply or low CFM fan.
