How to Restore Severely Oxidized Headlights with Griot's Garage Ceramic Headlight Restoration Kit! 

I had used meguirs kit in the past for a 2004 ls430 and a 06 sequoia. Very pleased with those reults as well.4 years and still holding up. I used this product today on my 2014 ls460 and i loved the way it came out. They look brand new. Unlike the meguirs, that kit leaves them looking tacky, but still clear. This kit just made them look new. No tacky nothing. Super clear and super satisfied paying the extra money for this kit

Excellent product! I just restored my severely oxidized 2012 Buick Enclave's headlights. They are crystal clear. It's amazing how much better I can see the road at night. This is the real deal. Great video, too. I appreciate how you went through the entire process. It is really as easy as you portray it in the video.

I used Griot's yesterday on my daughter's 2013 Mazda 3. It really did a great job. Time will tell if the ceramic coating lasts.

I gotta say this worked incredibly well on my 2009 G37. I’ve used Maguiar’s PlastX before, and it never really did anything. I used this kit and my headlights look brand new! Wasn’t hard to do either

This stuff worked great on my headlights I tried everything from Turtle wax to blue magic and none of them worked like this product it’s awesome

Just got back from Arkansas, a client flew me out (I'm in the North East) to do a paint correction on his super cool 21k original mile 2002 Black WS6 Trans Am. I stated this just to show I'm not a novice. I'm cleaning up my 07 Range Rover for winter and decided to give this GG headlight restoration kit a shot. I can't say enough positive about it. Highly recommend.

Just did my 20 year old accord headlights. The best. Chemicals work great sanding tools well made. Put some elbow grease into the wet sanding taking extra time. Was worth it. They look like new, right out of the box. No kidding. Better than I could imagine. Great thumbs up.

I have actually used your paint compound to polish the lenses with the foam pad and orbital. Results were amazing.

Nice and easy to follow Sam! That is a great kit, I like the holder for the excellent foam backed sandpaper. I use that same holder from GG for my 3-inch pads and bug scrubber. I was impressed with the new oxidation wipes and those packets of clear coat.

I usually used chemical guys! I tried your product for the first time I didn’t want to use my buffer wanted something easier and quick your product way faster way smoother no Power tools required awesome product!!

In my mobile detailing I haven't seen any of these kits work except for sandpaper (3 levels) and polish. That always works. I haven't tried this but I don't normally use kits unless it has the sandpaper

So towards the end of the video @12:36, you recommend 60 minutes to allow time for the ceramic coating to dry before getting the car wet or before driving the car. So does that mean I need a garage or covered area to properly use this product? Or I can do it outside so long as it's not too hot or too cold outside with no rain in the forecast? Thanks.

Just used this product and damn its really good. Only problem I had was that I messed up the coating at the end on one of my headlights (saw some inconsistencies I wanted to adjust when I applied the coating), and unfortunately they only provide you with 2 coating wipes. I wish they at least provided 3 in this package. If there was a third I could have corrected my mistake by sanding the headlight again then reapplying the coating. Besides that, I recommend this product to anyone needing to restore the headlights. I guess if I want to fix my passenger side headlight that I messed up, I'd have to buy another kit.

in other detailers videos they sudgest a solution of 50 50 when sanding, 50 water 50 alcohol, is ok with that or i just go with water?

Random question. Could I use a heat gun to help cure the ceramic coating ? lol. I don’t have a garage only ever experimented with restoring my headlights once… and failed miserably. So I have no knowledge of different hacks that could be acceptable lol or to even fix basic things on a car lol

Do some auto manufacturers utilize a more durable UV coat? It took me 1½ hours to fully sand it off ONE LENS. I had to use both 1000 grit discs (the first one stopped cutting).

Is there any benefit to polishing the lens after sanding before applying the wipe? Or does that prevent proper adhesion of the coating? Looking for as much clarity and *pop* as possible, so thought I'd check. Thanks, great products!

Can you apply yhe ceramic wipes on trim? I have 1 pkg leftover so want know if its "interchangeable "

This is a great product but “inexpensive” is an understatement, 30 bucks for some sandpaper and wet wipes

I plan on applying a very light tint film over headlights after restoring. Should I wait the 60minutes or 24hrs before doing so?

After the ceramic coating is applied how long does it take to dry? And can I apply more layers every time it dries?

You mentioned that the product is designed to fill 3000 grit sanding marks but would machine polishing out the sanding prior to coating application improve clarity even more?

This product and method will not remove heavy degraded clearcoat like 2kmax?? The heavy oxidation, Best method is to purchase a 3m restoration kit, The option is either Dry sanding with a variable speed cordless drill for heavy oxidation and old clearcoat removal, Also they do a wet sanding kit for V/light oxidation as in this example again using a drill, Think smarter not harder, Just follow the instructions properly it's fool proof!! 🤔🇬🇧👍

Why are we as American people putting up with this crap. If the car companies would put glass on the lights we would not have to got thru sanding our plastic light lenses. Glass headlights from the 40's and thereabouts are still clear. Greed is the only answer. Cost for the manufactures is much less but they just keep the extra rather than lowering the price due to a drop in cost of manufacturing. This and other things is why I will not buy a new car. I have the ability to buy what I want but I will not buy anything new. Pure greed, pure greed.

I'm interested in using this on my 1997 Dodge Viper headlights. But I'm also a bit apprehensive, because Dodge Viper headlights are $5,000-7,000 each. so what are the long term effects of this product? guaranteed safe? and if you say yes, does your liability insurance cover replacement of my headlights? serious; not joking.

You really need to provide two 2000 grit and two 3000 grit sanding pads, one for each light light you did with the 1000 grit pads.

I have yet to find a product that lasts anything longer than 30 days. I can tell you ATF works for about 3 days
