Does a old broken original LCD is important to have for future needs of true tone? After copying a true tone from it to a new screen?

If you want to save time, what is important is a screen that has the right MtSN data that matches with the motherboard. This way you can copy the MtSN from one screen to another, without the need of a computer. But it doesn't mater if the screen is original or not. Only the MtSN maters.

Earspeaker flex was changed or not. Insure that If ear speaker flex was changed then true tone not works.

No brother only change the original LCD that belongs to another iPhone can`t fix the Truetone. You need to reprogram the LCD.

If the ear speaker flexes broken such an issue happens. On that flex ambient light sensor also attached. Such happen if flex broke or flood illuminator damage. That also plays a role in truetone.

iphone 8 plus has no true tone feature. When I took a new original screen and found the mtsn code and programmed it, I saw that it was successful. When I booted the iPhone there was no real tone feature. Have you tried this method on 8 plus?

Yes, the genuine message shows due to display replacement on which chip was encrypted. You have to copy LCD data from the Old to the new LCD. If you write old LCD data to new LCD then no matter of genuine LCD message.

So they said to me that the IC on the old LCD need to be transfer to the new one and it costs about Myr575=130usd and I think its overpriced. I have a little knowledge about repairing an iphone and i think they chose risk to get more money or maybe they dont have the tools. My curiosity is the reason why i'm here. Thanks to you, i got the answer.

To remove LCD genuine message you need to swap the chip from old to new LCD but That doesn`t affect TrueTone which only needs to copy data from old to new.

No need original LCD. If you have the original LCD then you can copy the Truetone data. Truetone function not only drives with truetone data the sensor on the ear speaker flex which contain ambient light sensor and proximity sensor also function for the complete Truetone work.

you have to replace the chip from the old LCD with the new one. For face id, you have to replace the Earspeaker flex on which flood illuminators, ambient light sensor. And after LCD replacement, you need to restore the old truetone data to new one LCD.

On iPhone 12 pro max Display, Camera & Battery are encrypted that can`t be change.No dough other iPhone these parts are original but don't forget that is encrypted and must be from same iPhone.If you change these from another iPhones then this message shows.

if you got old original apple screen even broken it is very easy. it take 10-20 sec. you just connect old screen to that device, press read, then you connect new one and press burn, and that is all. but if yo don’t have original screen it is more difficult

@@thegsmsolution1 Iphone 8, iphone X, Iphone XS, for xs i have original screen and i read data from old and writte in new screen, screen was without serial numbers after writing there is 3 serial numbers from old screen i start iphone still no true tone option, on iphone x i use recover true tone without original screen i read Mtsn with DFU box ( shalou also same thing ) but still no true tone. On xs can be maybe because i don’ t have original proximity and light sensor, in X i have changed front camera modul, iphone 8 was perfect. Did you brother have issues like this?
