I love the piano analogy so much! This is how I explain the process to people. It's EXACTLY like learning a new song on the piano. After tons of repetition it becomes automatic. It's tedious and annoying sometimes but it works. This is coming from someone who has zero talent for piano but I know how to play the notes lol!

Welcome. If you'd like more direct help, the info below is kind of a Fast Start to all of this. Foundational Information: Watch the video at: PainFreeYou.com Take the pain test: DanBuglio.com/paintest - a score over 29 means you have TMS / Perceived Danger Pain. This also means you CAN end your symptoms. Watch the video about Perceived Danger Pain: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tnU6KBAv5fg.html - this explains SO much of what is going on. Now you know what is causing pain. Next step is beginning to TEACH the brain to turn it off. Since perceived danger is what turns pain on, teaching safety is the solution. This vide gives you many examples of messages of safety. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5SsKnAgAvnY.html Getting more help: Individual coaching: DanBuglio.com/coaching - Unfortunately there is only so much time in the day. I am booked solid for approximately 4-6 weeks in advance. Keep in mind, there is no reason to wait that long to get my help. You get the same information and more support with my… Group Coaching Program and Video Course: PainFreeYou.com/join - No need to wait. You can begin this any time. The course will be available instantly and the next weekly group coaching is no farther away than the upcoming Wednesday. At minimum, watch my free daily coaching videos at DansRU-vid.com. It is a balance. Doing enough of what’s required continually as you say but not overdoing this work either. and Some days I get it right and others I don’t. Today is very hot here in the UK. Both my body and brain have decided to take the day off. Unusual for me but it’s been bliss. I’ve just flopped and listened to a non taxing audio book, had a bbq, meditated. I had a strenuous yoga session booked but didn’t show up. Later when it cools down I’ll go for a stroll. The right call today.

Hey Dan and people from world wide. I got good at feeling and stoping tns but couldnt end it. Im now ending it, i got inner peace and if im not at one moment i activate my inner peace very fast in seconds. I got good at feeling. Once you realize its 98 % feeling and 2 %. It can br done very fast. Feeling is your way out of any physycal problem even thoose like fractures. It sounds crazy. Dan is a genius btw. I couldnt end tns because i was thinking im ok but i cant go on eith my life from before. All those subconcius heaviness gets a life. There are thing that makes you , you, and you should keep then alive in you. If you treat your soul and purpose of life with indeference, it will act against you. Ive read dictionary of the ilnesses and. Made a lot of sense with this jnowledge of tms. Anyone my advice is that we should forgive our selfes really forgive and dont carry the guilt and shame with us. Retransform in a beautfull person as you like. And thats a decision like dan says. Cheers, i wish i could give you all a taste of the feelings.😈 we are control of our experiences guys woke up

A really great video Dan, thank you. It’s super useful when you give us a bite size strategy to focus on I know this is all I need to do but keep getting better then dipping so my determination must need attention as I can’t currently sustain the better wave.... when you re focus constantly do you think it’s helpful to have one particular thing you re focus on? Sounds weird but I find if I can’t think of something quickly my brain gets the better of me thinking about the symptoms once they have become v conscious to me. Big thank you for all your help everyday. E
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou 4 года назад
Eleanor - you don't have to do this all day long. Just be aware of when your attention shifts to the symptoms and with intention, direct your attention away. That's the point of the video. With intentional focus on what you want + consistent effort, it will get easier and easier over time.

dan, the other day I had to go to Tijuana to score more pain meds since I had a problem with pain management people here in Cali. Anyway, there was a point when I was sitting in my car in a parking lot waiting for my cousin, who I tagged along with, to come out of a dental appointment. I was starting to feel anxious so I started breathing, and then I went into a monologue, imitating what you do here sorta, talking about my feelings etc, and breathing and just talking about my life to an empty passenger seat. It was interesting and it did help me feel better. I think the passenger seat was empty but my brain was listening!

No - it won't be difficult to shift. DECIDE what you want and want to believe. FOCUS on that consistently. Put in the effort. You may be surprised how fast your brain learns something new. The video maps it out. This process isn't just for eliminating pain. It's for ANYTHING you want to learn in life. To your question, I didn't intentionally use this specific technique to end my pain. But in hindsight - when I DECIDED my body was okay and that I was going to FOCUS on living my life without fear or caring if I had symptoms or not, this happened all on it's own. Why? Because that's how the brain works. It wires what we consistently focus upon. Try it. You may be VERY pleasantly surprised.

I believe in this completely and KNOW that the discomforts I have are because of perceived danger by the brain. I would appreciate practical suggestions of what to focus on to redirect the brain's attention. I am retired from teaching and have completely healed medically from injuries from falling on the ice, creating frozen shoulde, and a later broken wrist from a freak fall. Using Curable and your daily videos, I have tamped down a lot of PDP that hung around. I'm very active, doing lots of strenuous work (using my chainsaw, etc.) and walking 5+ miles a day. I want to keep doing those things painfree. Thanks for any helpful advice!

@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou 4 года назад
The best way to answer this is to evaluate what message the brain is receiving. Is it receiving a message that your physical body is perfectly fine already? Or that heat is required because there's a problem with the muscles? Sarno said to stop all physical treatments as they can confuse the brain. I tend to agree with him.

Guess what happens when you look for something ? Often you find it !. Just like all the negative crap that seems to run on auto pilot , after I have been doing this work for some months I have experienced it also begins to run on auto pilot , It does become easy. And what's more is its brought back feelings and memories of more youthful years, when I did feel my emotions, before I learned to suppress them . So it all feels quite natural and liberating . If this makes any sense ?

I have recently found Dr Sarno's book, Nicole Sachs and subsequently you. You are all a wealth of knowledge and for the first time ever I have hope. I know now TMS is exactly what I have and the fear is not gone, but i am learning to accept the pain, and hoping by doing the work I will get there in time. My question- life is chaotic, and I am not exactly able to do the physical activities I'd like currently. If a lot of my free time from work is spent journaling, and reading this info and watching RU-vid videos ,am I doing a disservice to my brain? For example, the piano analogy - i am not rewiring my brain to learn something new. I am, but it is still related to the pain. So as long as I am doing this from a positive place, and a place of learning, is that at all helping to rewire my brain, or is my brain saying " she's still stuck on this pain issue, lets not rewire the brain yet" I hope this makes sense, and likely a dumb question, but I really really wont to learn more about all of this to help myself. Between the books and you tube videos there is so much for me to take in Dont get me wrong, I am not spending every waking moment focusing on TMS info, however with work just not enough hours in day to start new hobbies Thank you for all of your useful information. I cant wait to report back down the road and check in !

Angie - it's a great question actually. We can actually overdo the recovery process. Once you understand what TMS is and that it applies to you, we don't have to read more and more. Focusing on the pain and TMS may keep it persistent. Get clear. And try not to focus on brain wiring. In my opinion, that's over-complicating it. The brain knows what to do. Give it better information consistently, focus on what you WANT and the brain will do the rest. The resources below maps it all out. Foundational Information: Understanding Pain Watch the video at: PainFreeYou.com Watch the video about Perceived Danger Pain: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tnU6KBAv5fg.html - this explains SO much of what is going on. Next Level: Determining if your pain is from TMS/PDP: Take the pain test: DanBuglio.com/paintest - a score over 29 means you have TMS / Perceived Danger Pain. This also means you CAN end your symptoms. Do the FIT assessment below. If you answer yes to even one of the criteria, it is very likely your brain creating the pain based on perceived danger. FUNCTIONAL: -Symptoms began without a physical precipitation -Symptoms persist after an injury has healed (3-6 mo) -Symptoms are in a distribution pattern that is symmetric -Symptoms occur on one whole side of the body or occur on half of the face, head, or torso -Symptoms spread over time to different areas of the body -Symptoms radiate to the opposite side of the body or down a whole leg or arm -Symptoms that occur in many different body parts at the same time -Symptoms that have a quality of tingling, electric, burning, numb, hot or cold INCONSISTENT: -Symptom shift from one location in the body to another -Symptoms are more or less depending on the time of day. Or they occur first thing in the morning or in the middle of the night -Symptoms occur after, but not during, an activity or exercise -Symptoms occur when one thinks about them or when someone asks about it -Symptoms occur when stresses increased or one thinks about stressful situations -Symptoms are minimal or nonexistent when engaged and joyful or distracting activities, such as when on vacation -Symptoms are minimal or nonexistent after some kind of therapy, such as massage, chiropractic, Reiki, acupuncture, an herbal or vitamin supplement TRIGGERED: -symptoms are triggered by things that are not related to the actual symptom, such as foods, smells, sounds, light, computer screens, menses, changes in the weather -symptoms are triggered by the anticipation of stress, such as prior to school, work, a doctors visit, a medical test, a visit to a relative, or a social gathering; or during those activities -symptoms that are triggered by simply imagining engaging in the triggering activity such as bending over, turning the neck, sitting or standing -symptoms that are triggered by light touch or innocuous stimuli, such as the wind or cold Moving forward: Free general recommendations. Many around the globe are getting well with just my free content. Now you know what is causing pain. Next step is beginning to TEACH the brain to turn it off. Since perceived danger is what turns pain on, teaching safety is the solution. This vide gives you many examples of messages of safety. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5SsKnAgAvnY.html Begin to watch my free daily coaching videos at DansRU-vid.com. Excellent video. Feeling the emotions must become a habit, I see that. However, I'm afraid that so far, in the 30 years I've had bladder pain and in the 8 months I've been following all this TMS stuff, I'm not able to ignore my bladder pain. I can't enjoy anything when it's there. Believe me I've tried.

I don't tell anyone to "ignore" the pain. Choose your response. You can freak out about it or reassure yourself that it's not a problem. It takes practice to become indifferent to it and shift your focus away from it.

I have Epstein Barr, CFS, I’m injoying your video I’m trying to tell my brain I’m not fatigued I’m not tired but it doesn’t always work. I’m in bed sick for like Monday to the next but I’m gonna try to wake up not focus on the fatigue. We’ll see what happens. A lot of people have chronic fatigue syndrome are told not to push yourself because if you do, then, you’re gonna make yourself worse.

It's important to have a deep understanding of how the brain, pain and nervous system works. Once you do that, you'll see why the things I suggest work with how the system works. I can't speak about DNRS. I've heard both good and bad things about it. I can say, that my course and weekly group coaching is having good success and it's a fraction of the price of DNRS. Check it out for my approach. PainFreeYou.com/join

How do we take the focus off pain and symptoms? Can you give examples ? Do you mean focus on other things ?
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou Год назад
Yes, focus on life as much as possible. If you DO notice the pain (you will), how you respond to it is way more important than the fact you were aware of the pain. Todays video on Gaining Trust goes deeper into this concept: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-F2cBTFSQqtk.html

do you know about functional neurological disorder? I don't have pain but can't walk unless my brain is distracted. do you know about this. can you do a video please???
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou 2 года назад
Is it truly a functional neurological disorder - or problem with the nerves if things work properly when distracted? Weakness is a common TMS/PDP symptom. Have you done the assessments on my getting started page? www.PainFreeYou.com/start Go through the videos and assessments on that page to see if any of it resonates with you. If so, I offer a number of suggested paths forward. I generally don't do symptom specific videos anymore as they keep people focused on symptoms. If they behave like TMS/PDP then the type of symptom doesn't matter. The solution is the same.

Can someone please send me somewhere free or cheap for a “rewiring the brain” program? I’m unable to work right now due to my chronic conditions and all these programs cost money. I need structure as I have ADHD and can flit from one video to another and get nowhere fast. I started this journey in the first lockdown. 2020. I’m now here 2 years later unable to get a grip on the whole thing. I can’t concentrate on books. I just can’t focus on reading books. Thank you. I love your videos Dan. I just can’t afford your program. ☹️

The process does not have to be super complicated. Try not to create artificial barriers for your recovery. Money should not stop you. Many people get well implementing concepts taught and repeated in my daily videos. Here's a few videos below that sum up my concepts. Perceived Danger Pain: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tnU6KBAv5fg.html Let's Simplify Recovery: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3tIucivptic.html Consistent Messages of Safety: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5SsKnAgAvnY.html 6 Steps to resuming activity: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mRowJmW4uk0.html Focus on these basics. Repetition. Over and over. The brain knows how to rewire itself. Forget about that. Focus on what you want. Focus on KNOWING that there's nothing to fix. Focus on the FACT that you are safe. Copy and paste this into a document or email and save it. These few videos can literally be enough.

When the brain is unafraid, it simply uses new pathways. We don't have to fix the old roads, we just build a bypass. Here's my take on this concept. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FpmWqTA83eI.html

Do you think doing this can help people who are withdrawing from benzos to overcome the debilitating fight or flight anxiety that accompanies withdrawal?
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou 4 года назад
This could be used to train your brain of virtually anything. Soothe yourself. And I might suggest that you not catastrophize the Benzo withdrawal. Yes, there will be some affects, but you will be able to handle them. The more you fear the withdrawal process, the more fear you will have. The more fear, the more you feel anxious. It's a vicious cycle. Step out of that loop. Know you will be fine. Soothe yourself often. Body and mind.
