So have a separate bucket of dye and water and go back and forth?

@@bobbysmith3242 have one bucket of hot water with your desired color, let it soak for however much time you want, after the color sets in, put the shoes in a second bucket of hot water with rit color stay, the color may slightly rinse off because of the water, but once you dip them in the color stay bucket, you can let them sit for a few mins, then once again put them in the original bucket with dye to pick up the color again. You’ll quickly see how the color will get darker.

Nope I didn’t use any finisher I’ve worn them multiple times since the vid and still look good ‼️

If you want a softer tone like mines leave em in there for about 3-4 hrs but if you want the color to be darker I’d say 24 hrs🙌🏽

Yes rinse them off jus so if there is any excess dye it won’t bleed on your socks or jeans 🤝

Synthetic and regular both work well I just think regular Rit will give it a darker look, it’s all your preference 🙌🏽

No regular rit def won’t work for leather: it would for a natural fiber like converse/vans/toms. I do a lot of tie dye (rit isn’t the best to tie dye w/ but I’ll use if I ever have to dye something ONE color). Basically same concept as clothing: “all purpose” rit wouldn’t bond to a synthetic fabric like polyester…so you def went with right dye. I’ve had 2 pairs of brand new AF1s I’ve been scared to dye so thanks for vid! I feel more confident now-I can’t tell you how many times Ive made a dumb mistake over the yrs-& seems to only happen when I’m dying something I dropped decent $$ on so again, thanks for vid!!
