Now wait til you find an actual US roller skate certified and licensed coach. Next level! 2 of my teachers combined won over 25 gold medals over 100 medals total , over 5 world Nationals in artistic and jam skating and also skater of the year. If you lucky enough to find one like this you'll be more than good enough to compete on the world stage. Good RU-vid teachers in general are dirty Deborah, appleusa (she's certified licensed teacher), and Dunbar. I pickup things and learn from many , just the parts I need. For instance. Try appleusa advanced backwards video. Best video for backwards crossovers ever. But her video is for advanced level skaters, and this video is first time beginner backwards.

Hahhaha falling on my butt doesn't really hurt anymore. I also try to choose a cheek to fall on slightly so I dont fall directly on my tailbone

your analogies are great! like a coca cola bottle, lay an egg like a chicken etc lol they all immediately bring to mind whats needed. people teaching skating seem to rely on a lot of funny similes like this because its such an awkward thing to describe for people that have never skated before, but sometimes their chosen ones are a little confusing or strange, or you hear the same ones repeated by everyone, but yours are all PERFECT. i can tell you have a special knack for it haha and whoa that dutch surprised me omg i know that europeans are good english speakers but your accent is so like flawless that i guess i assumed youre a native english speaker wow!

Do you have any recommendations for the best way to fall while you're learning to skate backwards especially once the hips start to get involved? lol I am going to be drilling this one today and I can just see an instance where a rock might be behind me that I didn't see coming and I'm wondering if there's a better way to fall if I can help it 😆

Try to fall on one of your butt cheeks or to the side if you fall. And tenst your abs if you fall back so your head doesnt hit the floor.

Thanks for the tutorial, very useful! But, I saw that there are small sticks on the floor of the court. Where I skate also has it and I fall when I skate on them. What do you do in this case, besides trying to avoid going over the sticks?

Great question, honestly I either try and clean up or if they are big avoid them a bit. But usually I just go over them. If you have enough speed and experience small sticks don't bother you as much anymore. Speed really helps with small obstacles

I loosened my trucks and wheels but I can’t even do a good bubbles. I bought the C7 skates from Amazon. What am I doing wrong? My skates seems so stiff, seems like they only go back and forward.
