Mr. Enthor, I am 58 years old and just learning to skate again after 35 years off wheels. I have really learned more from your videos than from anything else, and I'm going to practice using all of your advice...I'd also like to compliment your rink on the beautiful floor. I wish we had a rink with a floor as good as this out here in West Texas!
My gosh your transitions look so easy...I'm trying but keeping messing up or almost falling. I have a place I can practice early morning but it's harder I guess because I'm alone and have to keep coming back to my phone to get pointers. I have the front pretty much but transitioning to the back is my issue at the moment, it's not pretty.
You insire me to skate! :) I almost stopped because I coudn't find anything else to do but you have opened me up to a wide variety of skating! Thanks! :)
hi joe. i skated for over 50 years, but quit about 5 years ago. if only i had you for pointers i wouldn't have spent all that time trying to figure out how things were done without all the tumbles. at least i learned how to fall without injury. i may have to get my skates out when it's too cold and wet to ride my harley. thanks for all the great tips.
Only thing out of all that that I can't do is the hop turn. The rest I taught myself to do back when I was 17, and can still do today. I've never been totally comfortable with my feet leaving the ground. :)
