How to Root Galaxy Note 8! [Exynos]

Here's how to root the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, international Exynos models (SM-N950F, SM-N950F-DS (FD), SM-N950N(Korean))!!! Sorry, it took me quite awhile(2 months) as I had to wait 7-days every time(due to Samsung's new time limit on OEM unlock) I made a mistake while making this video so please thumbs up as it took me quite a long time to make this video. I tried for hours until i realized i have OEM issue on my N-950F, made me flash binaries about four times but didn't work.. this helped me to root in 10 minutes... much appreciated.

Will Secure Folder work after root? I like to run two of the same app at the same time one normally and one through secure folder. If the knox is upset will it affect this awesome feature? If so I ain't rooting no way.

Hi, do you mean using this method I will not be lock at logo page showing only official binaries can be flashed? I can see OEM unlock option in deve page after rooted? And I also can reboot my phone after rooted right?

Hi Max , I previously rooted note 8 exynos with twrp , magisk . Throughout the root it was actually ok and it reboot by itself and setting up the phone but after another round of restarting the phone again it softbrick at the startup logo with red wording on top "only original binaries are allowed to be flashed" will yr method work because I tried also before with twrp , magisk and Samsung anti root removal and once with velocity same issue went into soft brick like the one I mention

Hey Max is it possible that after installing all successfull to install SuperSU ? Because Magisk Manager keeps crashing and wont work right so i have zo install it new every single tine otherwise it wont work. By the way sorry for my bad english skills.

Hi Max, when I load twrp, press start - it just loads the bar and screen never turns off... So i am unable to go to press volume up, bixby and power button to load twrp. Twrp opened before and I was able to wipe but now its not allowing me to. Any suggestions? Yes I am using the correct model number phone. Thanks

Installed twrp with odin, it worked and phone rebooted... then hold down buttons to reboot and the oem recovery is still there???

Max lee i have a problem when im gonna flash the twrp.tar i flashed it to odin and odin said failed and said to my galaxy note 8 on download mode said only.....binaries blah blah on recovery mode

I just rooted my phone and everything went well UNTIL I updated Magisk... now I'm unable to enter Magisk. Whenever I attempt to open up Magisk I get a message which says "Magisk Manager keeps stopping". Can you please help me out of this?

Hi Max, thank you for the video. Sometimes I do interviews and it was great to use a third-party call recording app. Since the update to Android 9, none of the call recording apps work in the UK. I have an SM-N950F dual sim that I ordered from the United Emirates. I heard there is a Thai sim trick to get Samsung Built-in call recorder. I have ordered the sim but it will take a very long time and I am not sure it will work. Can you advise is my only option is to get my phone rooted or there are other ways to get a call recorder with android 9 for the UK ?

I did as u have shown except - OEM isse.zip - i didnt flash it cuz i dont know if my device has this issue and in develper mode there is an option to set OEMUnlock :) Well after all, flashed twrp magisk, i have read only partition issue even if i untick "read partition only" how to solve this problem ??:) PLS HELP

In odin setting, u can unceklist autoreboot, will make not reboot if u not press the button, this make the simply to boot to twrp,

i did everything as well but Magisk wouldn't install or didn't root the mobile so what i did when it gets to the part Root with ( Magisk ) or ( SU ) or do not change. Pick ( SU ) after i rebooted super user was installed very happy :)

Hi Max how are you ? as long as you experience in Samsung , can i ask you please 1- Is there any way to change the storage from 64gb to 256gb or even 128gb ? 2- the Ram is 6gb is it possible to change it to above ?? to any 8 , 10 or 12gb ? 3- for battery its only 3300mah how change to 4000mah or above ?
