This step by step video will show you how to Root Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Snapdragon Variant - (N950U,N950U1,N950W) (SamFAIL for Galaxy Note8)
This guide has been made using the forums on XDA developers website. None of the files or the method shown here is mine.
WARNING! The Bootloader v3 blocks SamFail. DO NOT UPDATE IF YOU WANT ROOT YOUR DEVICE ! THERE IS NO DOWNGRADING BACK!!!

@@TrickTrickers you can't. It means your bootloader is REV 5 and this method is for REV 1.

hi I have been trying to root my phone my firmware version is s2 i put my phone on download mode and follow the first steps with odin but I dont get the fail part and my phone doesnt restart like it states in the instructions i can turn off my phone and restart normally what am i missing can anyone tell me.

Hi! Please do not try this on newer android versions. It's not tested for newer versions and might brick your device.

No. It will not work for your phone with Japan Firmware.

cuidado ese rooteo solo sirve para Verizon ya que el sofwar es sm-n950u1 y por ejemplo el de t-mobil es sm-n950u asi que es una mierda ya que despues de rotearlo yo que tengo t-mobil la bacteria solo carga al 80% el s pen no funciona ni tampoco Samsung healf estoy tratando de volver mi note 8 a la normalidad pero no he podido....

@@GaldyTommyRivera This is the method for U1 you need to look into U3 as it has specific steps that this tutorial does not mention for it to work on your phone.
