It took me 6 hours to figure this out but your suggestion finally worked. For the folks using the Windows 11, I used the true path source exactly as it is from within the folder , i.e did not create a shortcut (copied and pasted it into this dudes mentioned command"- "C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Update\Install\{11487CEB-3B8C-4A84-A46D-E1E68B8D8CD9}\chrome_installer.exe" -uninstall -multi-install -chrome -system-level 6 hours of some very frustrating but still very serious time of inner contemplation. I watched other videos, installed unlocker, used powershell as well but nothing worked. Finally persistence helped and so did a little bit of common sense :) Thank you bud.
Even though its three years ago, it still worked like a charm. Thanks! Just remember to run the CMD as admin and replace the \YourUserName\ with your windows profile username, the one you're currently using, else it wont work
If you get no response, use Windows Powershell. Instead of typing cmd, type Windows Powershell and follow the rest of the instructions inside Powershell.
When I try to visit 192.168.1.1 it gives a firmware update page. I have tried to get the img file from D-Link site for the version I have n upadated using it too. DSL 2750u wil reboot but never give me any option to login. If it opens , then always open firmware update page. Can u help?
