This video is a how to on: Rotating wheels on tri-skate frames Installing Powerslide’s “Stride Control” Rockering the Nexus Frames Plus a short garage skate at the end on the newly rockered frames.
Right off the bat, I’m sorry for the frame rate issues - I wanted to try 30 FPS instead of 24 and something went wrong, which I didn’t realize until the video was finished in its entirety. I’m still learning this video stuff, but they’ll get better over time!
Hi I finally have my skates and I am loving them thing is I didn't receive those supplement for the edge and strides, are those sold separately? How can I find those online? Thanks in advance!
Hey! Yes they are sold separately. You should be able to find them on Pro Skaters Place, Inline Warehouse, or most other vendors who carry PS skates. Make sure you buy the Trinity ones, not the "Across Flat" set.
@@KenedyTorcatt the Trinity ones will work on all Trinity Powerslide skates, so anything with three mounting points, including the Evos. The other ones are for a skates with just two mounting points, like UFS for example.
@@juggerneezy great, btw... The package sold our there are for both skates or just for one of them and I need to buy 2 of them, they didn't specify how many wedges are included for the skates. Could you please let me known about this?
How many of those can i stack to create an angle, without compromising safety in a 2 bolt frame? I naturally supinate very much on both feet and the lateral adjustment of my frame just wasn't enough. Now since i stacked 2 bont wedges my power generation is so much better, and my maneuvers feel much more safe since i don't fight the outside fall anymore. Now on my right heel i still feel a supinating sensation in my crossovers, which prevents me from fully loading and underpushing. Is it possible to stack 3 wedges? That would fix my problem. P.S. since having wedges under my boot my edges stand almost perpendicular to the ground. No pronation visible.
So what are your impressions of the HC Evo? I am considering getting these as well and would love to know the good and the bad. Couldnt find videos on your channel on the skate review
I haven't gotten to the review yet unfortunately, but one is definitely on the way. As far as what I think, they are awesome skates. I have very wide feet so I was worried about the fit, but after a couple heat molds they're great. I love the flat 3x90 set up and the 88A hardness is awesome. They're great for what I do which is mainly city skating. Power transfer is unreal with the trinity mount system. I would highly recommend them overall for urban street skating, and as for freestyle, they're world-class (although I'm not a freestyle skater, they are well designed for this discipline). Con 1: the straps are cheap. They're already starting to wear out but I think that's because of heat molding them, but I would think they'd hold up better. No issues with the buckles. And replacement straps are really cheap so not a big deal to replace. Con 2: One of my wheels was defective out of the box. It rolled fine but it made a strange clicking sound which I'd never heard before. After diagnosing it by trying different combinations of axles, spacers, and bearings, I determined it was coming from the wheel. But they sent me a brand new set of wheels WITH bearings which was awesome, and I didn't even need to send mine back, so I'm happy. They're expensive skates, but I think they're absolutely worth the money, and a lot less than a pair of Adapts for example.
@@northernskatesman4964 Awesome thanks man this is definitely helpful to make that final decision. I heard from some other people that the buckle feels cheap but I guess swapping it out for some other buckles would be a pretty easy solution to customize it. Currently have a Twister Edge and it's like a tank with great buckles. Might just use them. Will definitely be looking out for your review too. Great informative videos!
okay, so I'm quite new to the sport and I like the idea behind rockered 4wheels (althought I've not tried it yet) but the fact that there are rockered 3wheel skates just blows my mind. Is that even stable? On which wheels do you skate when you just go straight? front or back two?
I don't rocker a lot, but I've done it with four wheels and three wheels. I did feel a little more stable with four, but once I warmed up to the three it felt good. When you're just skating straight it will be mainly the center and rear wheel that you have weight on. You will hate it at first, buy after a while you'll learn to enjoy it!
@@northernskatesman4964 thanks for your response. That's what I thought. Also I think the middle wheel must wear down much faster so you won't have a rocker for long. At what point do you replace your wheels entirely? Do you wear them down to a certain diameter or are there any other indicators? Also, what wheel hardness do you prefer for your style? Thank you
Yes you can, but make sure you get the ones for the two point mount frames, not the trinity frames. Also, there are little nubs you'll have to file off that are designed to slot into the Powerslide two point mount skates. But PS says they'll work fine once you've done that.
Greetings from Paris. First video I found about. I just got mine and I learned things that I didn't know. Very well explained. Where did you find the small pieces to adjust the frames in case of pronation etc? Thanks / Instagram: @jjrcezar
Hey, thanks for the comments! I'm sure you'll love these skates - I know I do. And definitely make sure to heat mold, it's a game changer for break-ins. I got the stride control inserts from Pro Skaters Place which I've linked for you below. But if they don't ship to Europe, you can try Inline Warehouse (also linked below). I've bought products from both places before and I find IW has rather high shipping and duty fees for me here in Canada (not sure what it would be for you), but they usually have what I'm looking for if PSP doesn't. Looks like both of them have this product in stock right now. Best of luck! PS: This may be a given but make sure to select the Trinity inserts for the Evo's, not the across flat ones. www.proskatersplace.com/shop/protective-gear-and-apparel/accessories/powerslide-trinity-stride-control-set/ www.inlinewarehouse.com/search-inline.html?sort=no&start=0&count=30&prevsearch=Inline+warehouse&searchtext=Stride+control
Hey! Do you mean the bolts that fasten the frame to the boot, or the wheel axles? The former should all be identical in length. With the wheel axles though, the middle and heel are identical, and toe is the fixed, non-rockerable axle. So it's the only one of the bunch that should be different and it'll go on the front. Let me know if that answers your question!
@@northernskatesman4964 okay I totally meant the boot to frame bolts. 2 small and 1 large. I took them out to add my endless frame and didn't check if the longer bolt went in the back or front inside. All my other powerslide takes the longer bolt in the heel. But on the EVO it's seems like it too long to go in the heel. But I'd like to be sure. Thanx
