You can legally make copies of physical discs you OWN. especially "in court" if you have your 'Proof of purchase' along with it. You have the right to back up and protect your discs. In law there are many bullshits going on however, it clearly spews a warning of ILLEGALLY making copies and doing other various illegal and malicious activities within that copy righted material..

With Beetle PSX on retroarch you got some more options to make games look even nicer by fixing the PSX specific jaggies (original PSX had trouble rendering straight graphics, Beetle PSX fixes it), hands down the best way to upscale PSX games for me

This is my first time hearing of the Mednafen PSX core having high resolution support. It's had a reputation for accuracy and compatibility for a while, but a few years ago it was still limited to native res.

I love the texture smoothing. Makes certain games that have issues the jaggies look way more modern. @@KyussTheWalkingWorm It's supports up to 16x upscale, to fix the polygons jitter of original hardware, you have "PGXP" settings, plus some texture filtering options, supersampling, dithering... I'm talking about "Beetle PSX HW" core, not the "Bettle PSX" though

@@Moukrea i'm not sure if epsxe handles the "anti polygon jiterring" function better or or worse than beetle but epsxe DOES have the setting too. but it's not in the main configuration tab.

that's actually the main reason why I play on emulators. ps1, snes, psp and I think even my n64 emulator are all upscaled to 4k. When I take my psp with me and start a ps1 game I think my eyes get cancer. It's such a shock every time from being used to 4k and than playing on original resolution xD

Yeah i have all my original consoles but emulate them anyway for 1080p except the wii, so a few weeks ago i wanted to play skyward sword and felt my eyes burning with the awful resolution

By following the settings and everything, I was having extremely FAST control on game like Musashi Brave Fencer. The control of the game runs too fast and beyond playable. What should I do?

I like playing in a window to be able to pause and go to my browser or email easily if needed.. Do I follow the exact same instructions but just NOT check fullscreen mode?

can you explaing how you get tekken to run, cause all the roms i seem to download just starts in some kind of demo arcade mode, where first you see intro video, then a demo battle it says 0 credits, and player press to start. but nothing happens, when i click my controller.

I tried 2 ps1 games (both BIN files) 1 game doesn't work and the other did work but when I moved the file to another folder it doesn't save at all.

A note on Windows DPI. You may be able to keep your Windows Display scaling percentage above 100% if you go into the compatibility options of the program's properties and override the High DPI scaling. Not for sure if that works, but, it's a thought.

Hey I’m having a delaying bug in Parasite Eve 1, whenever I enter in “map mode” which is the view of the island. The game gets laggy. Any ideas of what could have been? I did everything like the video said, the game really improved, just this thing is a little annoying

Hey, im trying to play Suikoden 2 (it's a Sprite based 2D JPRG), and even tho the sprites cleaned up and look really nice, all the background stuff (like NPCs, Enviroment and Terrain) wobble when i move my character around. Any idea how to fix this?

I'm getting horrible results with the plug-in. Even dropped the settings down substantially, still poor performance. However when I switch back to the ePSXe core, it runs without a hitch. I'm using a Razer Blade 15 w/ 2080 max q gpu, in gaming mode and all while plugged-in. Am I missing something?

I need help getting Tomb Raider to run on windows 10 epsxe. All other games run great but not Tomb Raider TR1. Any advice? Have I just got a bad rom? PAL. It plays the intro with no music just sound effects, then if I select anything in the menu the game just freezes. Can anyone offer any advice? Many thanks

I tried running spyro 3 with this program but it doesn't launch, i used the same rom on the psx 1.13 and it works but is with bad graphics, what can i do to run it in epsxe?

@5:09 i feel like you actually can leave your pc at whatever scaling mode and just exclude individual apps from the global scaling mode. by right klicking on either the shortcut icon or the real .exe of the software itself. somewhere in the compatibilty settings. i think it was in the same tab as the "run as admin" setting. sorry i cant check the exact detailed method bc i'm not at a pc rn

I cannot get it right on my 3440x1440 Ultrawide 21:9. It either is in a window and off-centre or fullscreen and not framed well. Anyone know the right settings? I tried every variation of Pete's config.

Pbp format was really a revelation for emulation. It started with the psp and just grew, it really makes everything a lot cleaner. I just wish every game was convertable

I was amused and surprised that You decided to make this movie because I have been using ePSXe for PS1 emulation for a long time. The only thing I would add is the configuration information through Xinput, where You do not need to set anything except Big Motor on Constant and Small Motor on Sine and we have full vibrations. In addition, everything works right away with the Dual Shock setting.

I go by 1024p with epsxe since it retains the 4:3 dimensions well. However, right now, I am having a problem with crackling sound on my games. And I don't know why that happens.

Using epsxe 2.0.5. My specs: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU N3540 @ 2.16GHz 2.16 GHz 4gb RAM. epsxe will only work smoothly on the very basic settings. Anything more advanced and everything stutters, even though it looks great. Am I doing something wrong. I just tried your settings for Crash Bandicoot 1 and it couldnt play it unless I selected the basic "fast" option. Ive tried gradually adding better features, but it just struggles to play unless its on the very minimum settings. I even get screen tearing on the very basic settings. Petes Opengl definately causes problems for me

After starting the game I have a black screen for a while and then the program shuts down. Plugin doesn't seem to work with these settings. I do not know what is the cause, even LOG files are nowhere to be found.

Awsome video and many thanks for sharing it! I folloed your steps thoroughly but it didnt run on HD. I tried 2 games, Disney's Hercules and FIFA 2000. Hercules was running smooth but on the SD. The FIFA tho was problematic, laggy on video and sound. My system: 8GB RAM, nvidia geforce GTX 960 G1 gaming, i5 4690K. Is there a problem with my system or should i try different settings ? The video settings are just like you showed in this video The games that i've downloaded are type ".bin.ecm" if this provides you any valid info

I've got a tough decision between an i5-8400 with gtx 1050TI or a Ryzen 3600X with a plain gtx 1050.... which would have the best chance at doing this? (And getting goldeneye at full speed) help please...

When I run Mega Man Legends it stutters a lot with these settings on. I tried setting the CPU overclocking to x1 and it still stutters. The only thing that works for me is going back into a previous version of the emulator or setting the threads to 1 but the sound still stutters. If yall got any advice please lemme know. Here are my specs: i7-8750H GTX 1060 MAX-Q 16 of Ram

Thanks for the video. I wanted to replay Vagrant Story and was looking into emulators, the there's so much conflicting opinion I just need to see real world results. I was experimenting with Mudnafen but I wanted to try and improve the visuals a little. But I find a lot of filters destroy the original artwork. Gonna give this a go!

3 things that helped completely eliminate all audio & sound crackling using the latest version of ePSXe (tested playing MediEvil): Options > CPU Overclocking 1x Options > CPU Interpreter (Slow) Video Settings > Threading Mode (1-Thread) The third one took me a while to figure out!

THANK YOU. I kept wondering why when I attempt to play at 4K on my 4K monitor, it was always super zoomed in and I couldn't see half the game. I had windows scaling set to 125% THANK YOU ❤️ Too bad my Spider-Man playthrough is over, but my Spider-Man 2 playthrough should hopefully now be in full 4K 😁

Great vid. I use this on my android phone and really enjoy it. On pc I'm using mednafen as its the stock emu included on the front end I use but it's a pain increasing graphics settings so I'm gonna use this for sure now as it's a lot easier to change settings.

Spyro got 30kg stretched to 16:9, also weird that this emulator will allow me only to choose max resolution related to my monitor. Doesn't it have 4:3 option so I can pick resolution multipliers based around its native scaling? Anyway 1440x1080 it is then

New version of epsx just won't play for me. Download, extract, configure get games in the games list and it just closes when I try to play. The 1.7.0 version I had in an old disk drive works (but awfully buggy) so it's not the games.
